This is better. 3 GB instead of 2 GB, CPU is better with 4MB cache (not 2Mb) and 2 HD's (2 x 160GB) all for £621.58 delivered. Only downside is that the Vista is Business edition. Ultimate will cost £50 more

Can you use the 10% off voucher on this deal? If you can will cancel my inspiron deal and order this.

Hillfly added some warmth, it is still a good deal all round, just better dell deals available to order (delivery another matter)

Be strong and have faith in Dell :giggle: cause I'm sure they are working hard to get the laptop to you ;-)

Regarding this deal, good processor and lots of memory but not sure if Vostro is better than Inspiron? I have just checked the 10% voucher and it says it's not available....boo!!

Agree there are better deals - I have an Inspiron on order but the delivery time makes this OK if you need something quickly I think.

weepiglet could you please get an avatar, then I will see it is you straight away. I have just been reading what laptop, still know the Inspiron is a Great deal, but if I could find something else say with an x2600 graphics card I would go for it......I hate waiting:x

Why a x2600 card? A comparison of cards can be found here. The 8600M GT is an excellent graphics card.

Compromise, you can the x2600t is close and usually comes with amd laptops bringing the price down....I know it is compromising, but my laptop now only runs for about 30 minutes without crashing

:thumbsup:how long is the wait from del? im thinkin about going for the quad core 8800 card etc but if its a month wait ill hang on as they will prob only come down more, recesion and all that!
