Nothing wrong with this. Good office workhorse for not much money although it's a shame Microsoft have bulldozed all resellers into not allowing XP as an option anymore. I think the business community would gladly stick on XP until something better comes along and, right now, there isn't a reliable alternative.

Thanks Mike. Heat and rep added.

Cant go wrong at this price.

Dell dropped the price on this today down to where it was earlier in the week when the 5% voucher was working.

Decent price,hot

I would also consider ] this alternative from ebuyer @ £229.98 delivered :

Although OS is not included ( you can get free ubuntu or XPProf at play trade @£20-ish), the PSU is probably weaker than Dell's the rest seem a little better
Slightly faster cpu - E5300
4Gb ram
500Gb HDD

It's still an option and on this PC as well.

How quiet is this computer? Since buying my Mac I've been spoilt with a computer that makes zero noise whatsoever, it has kinda made paranoid that when I buy a PC online its going to be a computer that makes boat loads of noise.

4% quidco too?

heat. Good PCs from Dell.

Dont buy this onine, ring them and barter with the sales rep you get put through to, I managed to get 2 for £460 delivered...., thats £230 each...

I seriously hardly ever notice the sound on these, I bought four a while back for the office and I leave mine on overnight and even when I'm the first one in I can't hear it.

Btw, I managed to get four for £840 incl del.

It's not a free option though!!!

It's an extra £50 to have XP Pro with Vista business. I'd rather just have XP. They can keep Vista :whistling:

I didn’t say it was free just pointed out that the person who said it wasn’t available was incorrect.
XP Home hasn’t been available on desktops for a long time now, it’s only XP Pro that is available which does carry a higher price tag.
