hot for me

Can spec up and i5 but with only 2GB memory for £569. Which is the better deal?

Yes, I would like to know as well why people are voting it cold.

Does seem like a good deal given the computer. The best upgrade you can have on it is the B+RGLED 1080p display.

How did you spec an i5 machine for only £569 - even with 2GB of RAM that's better because the upgrade to 3-4GB would cost about £30 if you DIY'ed it.

I thought I'd better add that, on looking at it, the price is good for what it is but you can't upgrade anything at all (apart from warranty and accessories) so you're stuck with the mediocre 720p LCD display and Core i3 processor (so if you want the quad-core i7 with GT 435M graphics, you can't). For the option to even begin to upgrade, you pay £599 base price with any upgrades.

I tried the L510 rather than the L501 and it came in at 569 , so sounds good then, Dell wnat £100 for an extra GB of memory in it !
