Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T8100 (2.10 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 3 MB L2 cache) add £25.53

i think this becomes a better deal if you add,
15.4" Widescreen WXGA+ (1440x900) TFT Display with TrueLife™ [add £17.02 or £1/month1]
&
320GB (5.400rpm) SATA Hard Drive [add £17.02 £11.49 or £1/month1]

which are a lot more expensive on the home site?

That is the price excluding VAT, if you look a bit further down the screen you will see the section where VAT is added and brings it to the £592 price Mike T has quoted.

LOL still too early in the morning for me, I thot I was on to a winner there. Cheers guys

I am looking for a good lappy £500+ and its a toss up between the vostro 1510 and the XPSM1530 - the main points i can see is the XPS is better looking but lower spec's compared to the 1510 (or save £100 for same spec). Any other pointers? Build, internal architecture, repairs/upgrades? Grazi

The 1510 is a bit of an unknown atm as its brand new none of us have yet had one to play with.
I'm not sure I like the fact they have gone from a metal casing on the Vostro 1500 to a plastic on on the 1510 too much, but as I have yet to see one....
The M1530 is nice looking and may hold its value longer than a Vostro and has all the right bits.

just recieved the top spec lappy as posted by mike T but with the T8100 processor for £608 delivered (using the 10% discount code dont know if its still ongoing) from dell home site. great looking machine and came with a free but unmentioned wallet type holder for the lappy and also wallet for cd's and such both good quality this i think would be slightly cheaper than this one if you go foe the T8100 chip

thanks - suppose i could go for the 1500! I generally use it for surfing, office 2007. Occasionally i might do some SQL server dev stuff. Current machine is a dell D505 w/ XP, 512mb, 1.5ghz celeron... Maybe its overkill?

Been watching for a while, only just registered - keep up the good work
