Ive got £75 discount vouchers, happy to sell it for 35.. Pm me if interested
Shame it's the 'fake' 10th Gen and not the real Ice Lake 10th Gen.
I still don't understand Dell's decision not to equip the XPS with Intel Ice Lake 10th gen processors. This one is Comet Lake which is just a slight improvement over the 8th gen. Who would pay that much for a Comet Lake processor these days?

I know, especially since the XPS 13 2 in 1 version does have Ice Lake processors. It's just bizarre.

Don't think it's really bizarre. These were released before the 2 in 1 and the 2 in 1 is a good few hundred more expensive.

I've noticed that. You do need to be careful ordering from the outlet as the stock can be misleading as they turnover old models. But you can get some bargains, and especially if they have a 'dent and scratch' in a good config.

7390 is their latest laptop. They do also have the 2 in 1s on there and all the laptops listed state their full name with specs so you can always tell.

That doesn't tell the full story. The manufacturing process on the Ice Lake is also newer, it supports faster memory and the Iris Plus graphics are so much better. A better comparison is below.

If you scroll down it tells you 14 NM Vs 10 NM manufacturing process

What's the difference?

The Comet Lake processor on this one has a 14 nm process node but the Ice Lake processor has a 10 nm process node. A lower number means better performance and higher efficiency

If you purchase XPS then battery life is one of the most important considerations. If you are planning to buy an expensive latop, it's worth going for an Ice Lake processor. I personally can't justify this price point for this XPS with a Comet Lake processor.

Isnt ice lake faster in general with the 20% faster clock speeds but the comet lake ones have better graphics?

I would have bought if it had Thunderbolt 3

No

The icelake have a huge improvement in graphics now equivalent to the AMD processors. Icelake is the newest 10nm professor

The comet lake 10th gen has Sl better clock speeds but very much older intel graphics.

The icelake is a much better processor overall though, but depends on the graphic subchip you have the G7 is the best with 64 graphical processing units followed by G4 then G1 is the older graphics.

Confusing I know but intel are not exactly out to highlight their inferior products

What are the benefits of Thunderbolt 3 for you at the moment? Yes it's future-proof but what makes you very keen to get it if you don't mind asking?

might be uBlock Origin messing it up (even though I temporarily allowed it through)

I just see this error message on Dell's site:
