link doesn't work

I have one of these and its excellent, I am not a fan of Win 8 but on this machine it really does work well.

A good alternative to the Acer that was posted a few days ago.
For the extra £115 you get:

An extra 2 hours battery life: 5.5 v 3.5.
8GB v 4GB RAM
256GB v 128GB SSD
Converts to a tablet.
Onsite warranty v return to base

I have been looking at this deal. Sadly the cheapest one with 8GB ram and at least 128gb SSD works out at £600 inc VAT, which is too pricey for me considering it is not Haswell

I noticed these a little while ago, after I ordered a latitude 10 tablet. I have had to send the latitude back because of a number of problems so if it doesn't come back working I may ask for a refund and get one of these. Unless I can get to speak to someone more senior at Dell and they can give me a replacement instead of a repair.
I'm not holding out much hope about Dell fixing anything as if the repair staff are anything like the people they send out for onsite repairs they probably won't test it properly to find the intermittent faults.

that is a good price if you can pick up one. I paid 740 just 3 months ago from the outlet, had to return it due to cosmetic problems. then bought a 8gb and 256gb ssd for 780. Great little machines. do note it takes forever for the courier to deliver (about 2 weeks) from the moment your order status changes to despatched. they must deliver these on the back of a snail.

I ordered one of these new from Dell it took over a month to arrive.

The fan on the i7 version drive me crazy.

I think the i5 is quieter from what I've read.

Screen was amazing on it, but it got returned and I purchased a Surface Pro.

Thanks for that! I've just got an i7 3537 with 8GB RAM and a 256GB drive for £643! I have to be honest and say that I'd been waiting for Haswell before getting myself a convertible, but that deal is just too good to turn down. I don't really game anyway, and the battery life as is should be more than enough for me.

I just hope that I can live with the fan...
