Anyone in Manchester area follow Ace clearance on FB. They always have these fancy coffee machines at a fraction of the price. Ex trade show ones.
Post will be useless to many but may help one or two.

£50 cashback too on this.
I bought this from co op last year for a similar price. Great machine and well worth the money

I have this but with the milk crema system for extra £100. Doesn't have the cup warmer on top unlike eletta and also the tank is at the back. Not much problem for me as this is more compact. Still one of the best purchases I made. Buy this and never go Costa or Starbucks again, went to get my free wuntu Costa and it tasted like sh*t compared to my machine even though it was free.

Delonghi ECAM 23.120.B I went for this one and very impressed. Deal on here £242 direct from Delonghi. Looks the same other than this has doppio plus (uses a double basket for double espresso but you can just press espresso twice on a machine without it) and a digital display (kind of pointless really for me anyway). The ECAM range has a single boiler where as the ETAM and ESAM have twin boilers but take longer to heat up and cool down. This works out at about £40 more with the cash back offer so still a great offer if you want this style of machine. Thought I'd input as I've done a 48 hour course on the comparisons between models! There are so many versions and model numbers it is crazy! Different model number for different colours, one year from the next, just very subtle changes! Be prepared for a mind bend. Voted Hot. Sorry Gaggia Classic loyal I had a pre 2012 Classic for five years and overall knock spots of the Classic when it's setup properly. Cheers and happy coffee.

I'm very tempted by this, was in John Lewis last week and was offered the standard authentica etam20.510b for 300 so this seems a brilliant deal. Up till that point I'd never considered spending 200+ on a coffee machine. Was going to go for a ninja coffee bar instead.

Thanks for the info!
Wish I could travel travel there for any reason and pop in the shop. Have some extra cash to spend and seems (after watching videos) I could get few things there.
Followed their page anyway.
I got this a couple months back, easily go through 500g a week.

I have had a Delonghi Bean to cup machine for about 2 years and love strong tasty coffee but the stuff served in Costa, StarBucks is horrid compared to what my machine makes. I think the coffee shots in Costa etc are obviously very weak even on Americanos.

£499 at John Lewis for this same model. How they manage to get away with their, goodness knows - I suppose people believe they still offer good customer service and low prices:

Amazing how all the variations of these Delonghi machines prices vary. It's a very confusing market. It's an absolute minefield with the amount of models and prices across the range. Some just look better externally and they are the same inside.

Delonghi have an inexplicable number of models. I think a few are getting discontinued though. I got the ECAM23.420 but to be honest they're all much of a muchness.
I do keep thinking of getting one of these- no use why really, as I mainly drink tea. Just to show off, probably. Thanks for posting, I’ve added heat

How many cups a day are you drinking or is it being used for more people than yourself?

Any coffee aficionados here that can recommend a machine suitable for a busy salon?
All the ones I've seen so far use powdered milk, would prefer to use fresh milk.

No problems so far, also once you use up your descaling solution you can just make your own with citric acid+water, no need to buy the same thing in fancy bottle

That cracked me up. Thanks.
I caved in and brought this. Never thought I'd spend that kind of money on a coffee machine. Still unsure whether I've made the right decision. Although this is a great deal.
Best machine for coffee I’ve owned and I’ve done a few from percolates to tassimos to nespressos This makes the best easiest.

You won't regret it. Takes a bit of setting up with the grind level (depended on beans) and the strength of coffee / programmable size, etc. so be prepared to waste a lot of beans so I'd wait until the morning so you can set up otherwise you will be doing a lot of coffee tasting later in day and that may keep you awake all night. That was my experience anyway! Make sure when you set up you follow the instructions from front to back before doing anything.

I always go fine/least amount of water/max strength

Make double espresso

Top up with kettle if necessary
Does anyone know if this cashback is from the manufacturer? I bought this from amazon
How reliable is the cashback process? Would rather get from Amazon.

Yes go ahead through Amazon. I will buy it back off you on a warehouse deal. Please take good care when you have it.
Nice looking machine and voted hot
I'd prefer this deal (below). I don't know enough about AO's approach to returns and customer service. Whereas I've dealt with delonghi direct before and they were excellent.

I'm setting 5 of 7 on grind and two thirds strength. Double shot but programmed to stop hot water after coffee at just before the top of cup. It's basically a long coffee but not loads of water. Boiling a kettle really takes away the automation for me and adds money to the electricity bill it's a personally programmed coffee with one touch of a button and the setting is saved even when turned off at the back. I do this on my Delonghi ECAM 23.120.B another UKHD so can't confirm its possible on this one.

It does not take automation away you end up refilling the damn tank every 3 coffees

Wish there was an option to plumb those in I may come up with some sort of solution with solenoid valve and some tubing

I'd say I would get more like 6 coffees per tank with the amount of water I use. I find the water tank so easy to remove and put back in but I did own a Gaggia Classic and that's only got 1.2 litre capacity water just poured in the top though. I love the fact the machine just flashes a symbol to say "fill me up" where as the Gaggia would keep trying to pull water through even if empty (which would knacker the motor if you left it. After a manual machine for years I love this at the moment. Great idea if it could be plumbed.

Send it back and get the one from AO, if you want the £50 Cashback. Make sure you keep up with de scaling especially if you're in a hard water area.
Back up to £389
I’ve just spotted this for £299.99 for Co-op members, you would need to login and use code CE10
