It helps, sure, but these things last a long time and if you're a coffee drinker (especially those that use Dolce Gusto or similar pods) then the saving over time is actually pretty good. A big bag of decent coffee beans is usually around a tenner and that is a lot of cups of coffee.

I swapped over to a Delonghi coffee machine (not as good as this one) a couple of years ago and it's been brilliant.
If your after a ‘one button press’ bean to cup machine then this a fairly decent machine. The next model up (.85) can sometimes be found for approx £1200. This makes this deal even more tempting. Have been thinking about a machine for my desk at work, this just might do the trick. Thanks for posting!!

I couldn't agree more,I have the delongi magnifica and it's made at least 2000 cups.
Now if I was using the pods it would have cost a fortune for them. Whereas aldi do a great bag of beans that makes around 20 cups for only £1.89. No brainer for me
They do last a long time ... I've got a DeLonghi 4200 which is, I think, about 9 years old and has made several cups of coffee virtually every day in that time. May be reaching end of life now .... door started playing up last night so need to give it a deep clean at weekend and hope to fix that for now (annoyingly Amazon had a great price on DeLonghis in Prime Day but it seemed ok then!)
Personally I think this is £300 better than the £300 entry level De’Longhi automatic machines. It is quieter has double heaters, has a insulated milk carafe and crucially has the larger water container at the side.
If all you want is espresso this is not great value but if you want the greater control and variety it is a great machine. I was about to buy it before I got a used Jura instead.

Hi there,

Which ones do you prefer from Aldi?

I normally go for the strong one (Columbian)?
Advantage of this over the cheaper models? Still prefer milk jug frothing rather this method of container

This is a good one touch machine. It will give you goodish coffee.

Nah those that really love coffee make it the Italian way with a manual milk pump frother and either a Bialetti or Aeropress!
