What’s a good coffee bean to buy comparable to Caffè Nero Starbucks ?

Lavazza Qualita Rossa beans are very good.

There are just too many of these on the market with no way to compare them …There are just too many of these on the market with no way to compare them easily. One current example: their Ecam machine ref: 22.320SB was listed as retail when new at £630, now "refurbished" on sale for £230 ish....if it looks too good to be true, ...etc

I agree this seems annoying at first but the truth (once you realise it) is hilarious. And it is this: all Delonghi bean to cup machines use almost exactly the same internals e.g. the brew unit device that actually makes the coffee is the same.

So the coffee tastes the same no matter which one you buy, e.g. this one or the £3,000 top of the range machine that makes the same coffee but looks more stylish / is smaller / comes with a few useless bells and whistles like auto milk frother, hundreds of unecessary buttons and display panels and alarm clocks.

My recommended solution: just buy the cheapest model you can find (currently this) and feel sorry for the people suckered into paying twenty times more for basically the same machine just with a nicer wrapper.

I've had one of these for over 4 years! Brilliant machine. Only issue when air got caught in pipework but easily fixed! A bargain!

I wouldn't say to good to be true. This is the entry level been to cup machine by Delonghi. It's priced pretty well for a refurb (expect as good as new).
Havong one at work not bad and good price

Was 167.99 - as a new or refurbished?
Never so new one under 200.
If 167.99 for refurbished unit - price should be no more than 139.99

I get mine from here: discountcoffee.co.uk/
They have a good range, and are pretty cheap. I quite like their Nero beans, but they've usually got summat on offer.
I have one of these machines, fantastic.

You get a free latte with Starbucks beans which normally works out about the same price as the beans.
My one of these has stopped working and the warranty is a dud- might as well talk to a brick wall as get a reply from de longhi customer service.

Which is a shame because when it does work the coffee it makes is absolutely brilliant and I am really missing it.

Curse my weak resolve. I have bought one! £300 on amazon and 70% on which? Very good write up and certainly no decent bean to cup cheaper than this!
I'd really recommend PACT coffee for coffee beans - they are excellent! - pactcoffee.com/sig…FEE

If you use my code ALEX-SRDWQA you'll get £5 off your first order. You can cancel it after if you don't want any more deliveries though :-)
CamelCamelCamel link for those interested in the price history of these from new.
Just paid £220 for one new, happy enough with it for the price. So for £142 it’s a bargain.Took a few attempts to get the strength and the like right but makes nice coffee... not that I drink tea or coffee, but family appreciate it...

They use to do that but they stopped it now Think Starbucks got on to me, getting free coffees every week.

I bought delonghi magnifica for £5 On carboot sale ;D so its COLD
Got the 4200 in Sainsbury's 4-5 years ago £105, still running like new doing 2-3 espressos a day. Use the Costco lavazza beans.
What settings would you recommend for laates and tripe of beans . Will this taste nicer than nespresso capsules

Hey, thanks, BTW. I signed up and got £5 off, so you should get £5 credit too. What has your experience been of the different tiers?
