I've got a very similar model to this and it has served me really well. Plus if you register this machine you get a months worth of coffee, bean canister and some descale

got this in the tesco deal not too long ago for £150 and just got it up and running after Xmas, makes a great coffee!

2 x 250g would not last me a month! Good price for machine though.

anyone know the difference between this and the esam4200? has anyone had both and can compare?

So tempting... can't justify it since we already have a Lattissima :\

I've got the 4200 - but over time the full cups of coffee I did have, have just got weaker. . so now I'm having a double, double expresso to get my hits. Been looking at selling the old one and getting a new one and the prices are quite good tbh.

Theres not much difference apart from design. The milk dial is not as "chunky" on this one and the buttons aren't round. Water tank is smaller on this one by about .5l so its probably a slightly smaller machine. Still 15 bar pressure on both.

Got one....works well, good reviews, heard they last well if run on filtered water

Bean to cup = awesome!

I've had 2 different Delonghi coffee machines and as long as you descale them they should cause any problems. With the ESAM models just make sure you clean the diffuser/brewing unit every month.

I bought one of these for £149 in the recent Tesco deal. I really like the machine which is very well made and gives excellent results.

I assume its the same machine, just a slightly different model number reflecting the colour?

Be aware the 2600 model does not have a burr grinder, 2800 cafe corso does. May be a deal breaker for some

I had before and moved to Gaggia. Build quality is not great for me

Is it worth getting a Delonghi machine with a built-in milk frother or you folks prefer to use an external milk frother ? recommendations appreciated.

Have you adjusted the grinder? The grinding burrs wear with use, so you then need to adjust to compensate.

I've never used one with the milk compartment as I prefer to just froth my own. Im not sure how good the compartment is. Hopefully someone else can help us both!

Not necessarily. A lousy grinder attached to a lousy pump followed by lousy thermoblock with no regard to thermal stability=lousy coffeee

Yes have tried - also cleaning the metal "filter" etc. Just think its the pump not creating as much pressure as previous. The first coffee that comes out is great - but previously I'd be able to get a full mug of nice strong coffee but now it is too weak. So just do doubles instead and it's back to standing the spoon in it again

thank you for posting this OP. I had ordered a similar one but cancelled and bought this instead. you have saved me £40.
