Yeah, these are great. Mine has made 5-10 cups per day for almost 2 years. Last month the grinder got jammed but because of the 2yr guarantee they fixed it and even did a fine job refurbing the rest of the unit for free!

Very tempting!
Great machine. Had one for years, low maintenance, excellent grinder and plenty of settings. Bargain price hot

Delonghi on ebay. They are often listed for 169.99 and people use 10% or 20% codes that pop up every now and again, which seem to be every month these days.

Yeah. I got mine from there for £170. But not currently. If only I’d bought spare plutonium for the flux capacitor...
Anyone's having issues were grinder seems to be grinding to much coffee beens and the lots of grinded coffee is scattered inside machine.
Got this every time I get coffee
These are fantastic machines. Much better for the environment than pod machines too etc.. I have my coffee black though, as it should be
I have this machine and I love it!

There is a setting that allows you to change the grind setting inside the bean container. You will always have some coffee inside as it disposes into the basket?
Great machine, had a refurb for 6 months or so, good price for new model seem to remember mine was around £125 with ebay code
Slightly on topic.... early morning other day... bought 2 coffee's from a 'popular' coffee shop which costalot at 5 quid for 2 plain coffee's..... overrated to say the least.... had better and cheaper from a roadside cafe....
Got two machines for £150 each - manufacturer refurbs a few months ago(one for home, one for my office). Great machines but one seems to constantly need to be descaled.

It sounds like you have it on the wrong water type setting, if it's not right it will suggest scaling very regular. I tested the water in my area and adjusted it. No problem
I was lucky enough to get one of these for my last birthday. I use it a dozen times a day and it’s fantastic. They look expensive but they really change the way you think of coffee at home. This is a fantastic price.

Same price in Argos, for ages.
Reading reviews it says to go with the 4200 model has anyone tried them both? Thanks

Have a look on you tube lots of trouble shooting videos on there
I had the 2800 (that broke) and got the 4200 as a replacement machine. It has inherent design/control issues.
1) No low water warning unless totally empty. When it runs out part way through making a cup, it's discards the puck without letting you top up to continue making your drink. It won't allow you to top up the remaining cup with the machine without making another coffee, so you end up putting the kettle on to top-up the coffee!
2) Sometimes it thinks the puck bin is full after only 2 coffees
3) Water drips inside centre of machine
4) Some coffee granules end up inside the machine (missing the puck bin)
5) When using the 2 cups setting, the 2 nozzles are not quite far enough apart to feed each cup unless you use small diameter cups pushed together.
6) Designed 10mm too tall to open the bean tray & refill under standard kitchen wall units!
7) Can't empty puck bin without removing drip tray, then puck bin has nooks & crannies that need pokey sticks to clean out.
Got this one, love it. Possibly the cheapest decent bean to cup machine out there.
I have one of these machines at home and one at work.

The price can fluctuate on Amazon.

I bought this model for £170.99 on 28 dec 2016 - Amazon deal

I have experimented with different beans, including the cheap ones at Tesco and Aldi

I have found that the best value are the Lavazza beans which usually sell for £11 for a kg on Amazon.
(Sometimes cheaper)

Lavazza Qualita Rossa Coffee Beans

The work one saves me having to queue up at the coffee shop and also saves me money.
(I did have a tassimo before this, but the cost of the delonghi machine and beans for 2 years worked out cheaper overall than the tassimo)

I use the one at home just to make ordinary coffee.

The one at home is also used to make cappucino, latte and can also make hot chococlate if you use the milk frother to froth the milk and add cadburys hot chocolate powder

Depends how long you're willing to spend making a coffee. Personally if i've just got up or i'm making coffee for more than one person, i prefer to just press a button.

Mine always shows a descaling message too, but it can be ignored.

I fill the tank in mine with filtered water from a Brita jug, so won't have much limescale inside anyway.
