I'd recommend this, it will do a measured shot and you have some adjustment over temperature which you don't get on other similar priced models. This seems a good price at the moment but they were selling them for £99 in last years black friday deals (might not have been the stainless steel one though). I picked up a red one when Waitrose were selling them for half price

Love this machine, purchased the other month for around £150 on amazon warehouse. So this is a great price!

Had this machine for 6 months, loved it, very practical, even though i now use an aeropress. I do sometimes miss it. Though i have tos ay i prefer the taste of the aeropress. Still this machineis byfar better than most expensive ones

I see it is Thermoblock heating, which is generally a good feature; but I don't see that it allows adjustment of temperature - where is the reference to that?

There won't be any adjustment of temperature. There will be a button to raise the temperature of water used for steaming milk, but no actual adjustment.

Still, this machine will make a great espresso if fed decent grounds.

How does this compare to a Nespresso? I don't seem to like anything from my Nespresso! I prefer Americano's and Flat Whites.

No, you can actually change the temperature of the water going through the portafilter, there are 3 settings, low, medium and high (can't remember what temp each one is) - there is also a button that increases water temp to use steam. temparature is adjusted by pressing buttons in sequence, can't remember exactly how as I haven't changed anything in a while. You can also set the time of the shot so that it delivers exactly the same shot each time, you can ajust this for the single and double shot buttons

You're right, I stand corrected. Seems bizarre. There's really no need for a variable temperature range. Espresso needs to be extracted at a particular range. The timing of a shot will also vary.

I've had this one for a couple of years - It's great and this is a good price. Heat added.

I can’t remember what I set the temp to but I have it set to give around a 60g shot in 25 secs, this works for me, I never change the shot size, drink it black in a small 4oz cup with water to make a strongish Americano

Wow, amazing find!!! Oh wait, it's on the front page of deal of the day..... You'd have to be blind to miss it.

Price rose to £167 now.

I bought this and I'm not finding the coffee to be anywhere near acceptable! It pours v weak coffee! Am I doing something wrong?? Has anyone received there's and tried it?
