These are great when in desperate times for heating BUT...
You will get a shock when your bill arrives, not cheap to keep using on a daily basis. No longer use mine.

Good price, i paid nearly £200 for one similar.
Is there a substantial difference, apart from the electric timer, and say for £30?

These cost exactly the same amount to run as any other 2.5 kw electric heater. They put out exactly the same amount of heat. A standard convector costs around £20, so why buy one of these?

I dont think so, but it depends on the eco mode i suppose, how it uses that.

Your point is valid but I would buy as it retains heat longer and also safer, you can hang washing over it. For £50 you can get a 2kw easy but not from a big brand.

My mum has one, excellent heater with loads of clever functions. Very sturdy and moves around smoothly on it's castors.
Decided to order another. And found out my current Dyson air heater had a product recall on it when I did a comparison online so thanks for posting
Bought this last year from amazon and its great heater. Works well in out conservatory - keeps it nice and warm .
