Amazing machine and saves lots of money in long run, compared with pod machines.
I wondered why this was in the "Computers & Tablets Deals & Offers" section and then I remembered the definition of a programmer.

Programmer: A machine for turning coffee in to code.

My bro has this foe over 4 years now and milk temperature is OK. You can warm glass with steam before making whites and then you have perfectly hot drink. Tried and tested many times. Brilliant machine in all aspects. Really. Whoever buys this, won't be disappointed.

I'm looking for a machine that I can basically press a button and it makes me a latte. It looks like you need to make the espresso and heat the milk separately with this, is that correct?
Does what I'm looking for exist? If so, can anyone recommend one?
Many thanks in advance
Great machine review is good see here t3.com/amp…off
Rather drink cold Nescafé
I've had this for 4 years now. Wouldn't be without it , love it. Got mine with the milk frother attachment and would recommend this also. I paid £349 well worth it

I have this machine. That's correct, it's not the hottest. Fine for me with just a little hot milk in my coffee but my missus found the lattes not the greatest. It was bought mainly for me though do I kept it.

The quality in coffee from a step up to a bean to cup machine from a separate grinder and espresso machine I had before surprised me. Bean to cup all the way now.

Very little between them bar looks.
Both make espresso or long drinks both have separate milk steamers.

If you own the 4200 don't bother upgrading

I don't have either but got my eyes set on either, 4200 currently for £240, is this worth the extra £60 or is 4200 worth £240?

I'd look at the dimensions of both and figure out which one fits better on your worktop and also which you prefer the looks of personally.

Neither will perform better than the other as main components are the same
Can’t believe it was this price last year !

You can get the 4200 in the Amazon warehouse for £178.19 (Used acceptable) at the moment. Got one a few years back for £154 (used) when there was a 20% off as well. Worth a look in the warehouse. Mine had no signs of use at all.
We treated ourselves to one of these a couple of years ago and its one of the best purchases we ever made . We use Lidls Italian Coffee beans (about £1.65 a bag) and the taste is better than any Coffee Shop chain!
I have the Delonghi Eletta and the only gripe I have is that the drink is never that hot if you have something like a latte.
I have now switched to a latte machiatto and it is much better, but still not hot. You have to drink it straight away.
Yes you can warm the cup etc etc but I wish I had known this before buying. I am not sure if any bean to cups really get the milk that hot (maybe the sage ones?).
That being said the coffee is delicious and would definitely recommend. The Delonghi customer service is great if you ever need it too.

I bought one in January for under £140 from amazon warehouse. Mine came with a scratched dip tray, honestly I couldn't care less. What bother me more is that the inside of the machine was also dirty with a bit of very finely ground coffee. I was about to write to Amazon and ask them for explanation or some sort of a refund, but then read the manual and literally in the first page it says that because all of the machines are tested before sent out it's almost impossible to remove all the bits from inside, so I sat back and enjoyed a cup of quality brew

Hi,

Just joined now to say THANKS for the heads up regarding this, been on the look out for one since before Xmas. Went for the ECAM 460 version for another £50 which has the Milk Jug.

Thanks again,
Is this the one that is fully automatic, a'ka makes latte etc steaming milk itself or you have to do it manually? Want the fully autoamtic one
Don't forget your free cocktail set from De Longhi using your Curry's receipt. Has anyone claimed one successfully yet?

How does this compare with ESAM 4200?

There is no difference apart from a fancier design that incorporates loads of things that could go wrong for the sake of aesthetics. ESAM 4200 is a no nonsense bullet-proof machine. This is a good price for what it is (a much more expensive model) but am ESAM 4200 will last you years without any problem.
We've had this for 5 or 6 years & still love it. I think the counter is on 13000 cups up to now
I know I'm going to get stick for this but the presto beans from amazon are very decent - not super cheap but affordable and very decent.

I've tried a few small batch, fresh roasted places and for me.. meh. We used to buy Illy but are just as happy with the amazon ones - not making do, just as happy.

We have this machine and it hasn't given us a single second of trouble - when it was new I was cleaning it every month or so but it's a couple of years old now and hasn't been cleaned in 18 months and no different. Solid product.

Try Redber. Their beans beat all the others we've tried hands down!
