Bargain price for this machine. Maybe even the lowest it’s been I think. £449.99 on Amazon and that wouldn’t have been a bad price either.
I paid £420 amazon let me message

Absolutely awesome price, never been that cheap.
Been watching and waiting for ages so now took the plunge and purchased
My Delonghi bean to cup machine is coming up to 6 years old. It seems like a lot of money to spend, however they last so well and I would never be without mine now!
A delonghi Prima Donna S on eBay for £550 has only box damage
btw...I used paypal credit with 0% interest for 4 month if anyone do not want to spent £359 at once

How did you like it?
Will this make a latte at the touch of a button?
Thanks for posting, just ordered.
I really want one but the comments on amazon are putting me off. Saying the coffee is just warm and needs putting in the microwave.

This will make most drinks at the touch (or two) of a button.
It also has a lot of customisation settings to allow you to set up your perfect drink(s), one of which is water temperature.
I have read those comments too, but also read some saying if you warm the cup first its fine either using the cup warmer or a little hot water from the machine (or a tap).
Can't see it being that bad or no one would be buying the machine and giving good reviews on it!
Got this last year, best purchase we’ve ever made, easily worth every penny!
Bought this in the Black Friday sale for £420. Been watching for ages for price to go down. It’s a brilliant coffee machine, cappuccino, latte, flat white at the touch of a button, coffee is hot and different settings to be used for different tastes. Can honestly say this is well worth the money!
What coffee beans do people use with this machine?

How’s the coffee when it comes out? The cold comments are putting me off

I’m really fussy about temperature, it doesn’t come out cold. There’s an option to turn up the heat. We’ve been delighted with it the past year.

Honestly it’s fine. No it’s not boiling hot, but it’s still hot. To be honest I’d rather it this way, you can drink it immediately.

It has a clean cycle on power on and off. If making one cup, I put the cup under when powering on because hot water comes out during the flush. It flushes on power off so is clean already really anyway. Leave it in the cup for a bit, swish it around, then chuck it. I then run the coffee cycle. Easy.

For milk, run the clean cycle on the milk container first to heat it up, then run your drink. Again no issues with temperature personally.

Yeah we have a plastic cup to hold the rinsed water, I don’t think that any of the bean to cup machines come out hotter than this.

As others mentioned if you use stone cold cups then it might not be as hot as you would expect. Also if your kids like cacao, nesquik etc then this also will be used daily... Oh yes coffe with milk wont be hot (again cold milk...) still drinkable. Great value with free extras

If you can bothered, you can attach the milk container to heat the milk rather than straight from the fridge. I don’t, but if you are looking to optimise hotness, obviously this would help.
I can find the silver version of this on the site? Will be returning amazon and buying from deonghi
Ordered. Thanks, Reviews are excellent so I am optimistic. I almost bought the Krups Evidence EA893840 during Black Friday as it came down to £429, but the review on beantocupcoffeemachines.net was not as good as delongi and It seemed that Krups were not there yet in perfection and a lot of money to make a mistake. I just hope I have done the right thing, but with the extra free stuff worth £145 I think I have a bargain. Now to get some good beans, Where do people advise? And what beans. Aldi/Lidl are good for most things, but I imagine this is an occasion where I need to splash out on a better product.

Price changed from £399 to £469 while I was registering my account
Maybe we bought all the promotional stock

Write to them and tell them that on the home page banner (delonghi.com/en-…213) the machine is £399 and on the page is different price.
"I am very sorry if you have a look in our terms and conditions we are entitled to remove promotions at any time. It is no longer available at that price and there is nothing I can do to get it for you at that price."

This is the response from the support.
Showing as £499
Urghh! Saw it last night and didn’t buy it.
Showing as £469 now. Sorry you did not manage to get it. I am glad i did not sleep on it as i often do.
I am in a very hard water area, what is the cheapest way to protect the machine. can I use filtered water (one of the websites mentioned you couldn't drink the water from their water softener) does a filter help prevent lime scale or is it only when you use a softener.

This one is more like fashion. We started with Lavazza (costco 1kg 8quid on offer), after few month get fed up and start trying different ones. Amazon is great place for coffee hunt as their prices fluctuate reasonably so just add ones to camel or wishlist and every few months you can try different tastes. Things to consider with all these settings in this damn thing it will take you good few month to find your best recipe settings

Have a look in the manual. You can modify the programmes to deliver the amount of milk and coffee as you need to suit your cup size. From memory I think you select the drink you want in the menu, then hold down OK until it starts, then press OK during the delivery once you reach the milk amount you want, then OK again once to stop the coffee as needed.
