Delonghi ESAM 4200 bean to cup espresso maker has just dropped from £279.99 to £229.99. Naysayers will point to the fact that this has been as low as £199 in the past, but this is the cheapest price currently for a quality bean to cup coffee maker.

Apologies, should have said that this is on Amazon.

That is a great deal of money. Rather spend the money on Starbucks

Argos have a Delonghi Bean to Cup for this price.

Not available until 24th November in any case. Not a bad looking machine though - comparing with the one at Argos and pretty much the same specs. (same price at Amazon as well)

Its a great machine, been using one for the past year. Original selling price was over £400 so a bargain at this price.

Wouldn't take it if it was free, it can not produce real espresso, awful machines.

I've been using a similar one for a while mine was around the 300 pound mark so this is a good deal. I like the coffee out of it, it's easy to use and clean even if it is "not real" espresso.

Cold.

Jar of coffee, a kettle and a mug do the same but saving a bucketload of cash.

I bought one of these 4 years ago and paid £350. Worth every penny and produces better coffee than any sachet/pod machine and easily competes with your high street shops. It's all about the beans you buy. IIRC the grinder is a burr grinder too which adds to the quality of the brew.

HOT at this price.

Absolutely clueless!!! Doesn't deserve a decent cup of coffee.

What drivel

This has been £200 in the last 6 months I believe with Amazon so holding out for that kind of price again. Appreciate we dont have a time machine so heat from me.

Thanks deejay and OP

I take it you own one of these machines and didn't save a bucket load of cash? You did a taste test comparison right?

Just to update, arrived 2 days ago. Definitely CAN make real espresso. Took a bit of fiddling but won't be going back to stove top. Highly recommended!

what is your experience with coffee quality, frother, reliability and cleaning the machine after almost 12 months of using? thanks a lot for answers.

OK. Espresso is excellent. Hot and strong. The milk frother seemed to lose a little power after a while but was still more than acceptable. The problem is that something has got stuck in the bean grinder - currently with Delonghi being repaired (as of 5 days ago). It does have a 2 year guarantee though, and they sorted for collection. Having gone back to stove top, just not as good!
