What's the difference between this and the ESAM4200?

04.110.S is a newer model of ESAM 4200 which has 2 extra features: Icons and LED display and Cup warmer. Its input power 1450W is 100W more than ESAM4200(1350W).

Just ordered, may as well make it hot.

how does the steam wand perform? Im a bartender/barista and I love a good coffee i was thinking about a coffee machine as i believe regular coffee is not as good. Can I foam milk nicely with this wand? Im not a big fan of cappuccinos to be honest, not liking too much foam, but a flat white is the thing:) how flexible is the wand (in terms of moving it in different angles)? I'm looking forward for reply.
Thanks:)

I ordered just in case it won't be available anymore, surprisingly, nus card was applied taking 10 pounds off. happy days:)

also, I do have 5 pounds promotional code from amazon (the gift card deal last week), and as I entered the code it said it cannot be applied to this purchase. Why? This is sold by amazon? Also says in stock for me (others reported oos)

I have the ESAM 4200 and the wand is static for angles and only moves left to right. Its good for warming mile but i find the length of the wand a little short (but i think thats because i use a taller jug to steam jug).

Would be interested to see what you think of the quality of the coffee if you are a proper barista (Not meaning to put you down but some people who use crappy coffee machines claim to be baristas).

at work we have a coffee machine for like 6 grand, of course this one is not gonna be as good, but I am sure better than cheap machines with pots (yuk). I wanted a proper machine for beans and that looks good. Im only afraid about the wand (shame its stationary). Not sure if I'm gonna get the proper proper milk i can get at my work (where wand seems to be like 3 times longer and I can put it at any angle i want) as i wanted to practice coffee art, but obviouslyy no good milk no art:(

here is a link for reviews of coffee beans may be helpful i have tried varies beans but price wise the waitrose Monsooned Malabar is not at all bitter very smooth ,

i use a bean to cup machine but mainly for expresso
if i need a latte i use this milk frother as its very easy to clean & good froth.. capacity is 1 large cup , i am very pleased with this frother

Oh how i would love one of them at home. I have a Aeropress here which i used for a good couple of years as it makes a great coffee. But when you have a load of people over it can take a good while to get everyone a drink. This machine is super quick to make a coffee, the water heats real quick for the coffee and steam (Does take a few minutes to cool from steam function to go back to making coffee). I do find myself consuming more coffee daily now which suits me fine. Just costing me a small fortune in beans now (Need to find some more varied beans now).

It's a very good coffee machine in general and with decent beans, makes extremely good coffee. The wand is good, but doesn't produce real microfoam so latte art is almost impossible. It's close but not quite there. That's the only reason I would give up mine is for a better wand, but we all say that don't we

off topic apologies
just got a Hario burr grinder i cannopt believe how much bwetter this had made my coffee tatste

SO its not gonna be good then? Any recommendations of a better machine at similar price mark (actually I'm choosing a present for myself for birthday, which is on sunday hah) so i do not want to stretch too hard, you know. But yeah I would like a proper wand, to make nice milk. Any ideas?

Also why is it expired now? shoes in stock for me and price the same.

Also, checke camel camel and shows that its never even been this price uk.camelcamelcamel.com/Del…XXK it is about 350-400 elsewhere, so this looks a bargain:)

Another edit, I can see that there should be a bit of space if one doesn't have a huge milk jug to manipulate the jug instead of the wand to get a good angle. I am only afraid it might be too short. dayyyyym it is sooooo tempting ( I have ordered one just in case but can always cancel)

Always wanted a bean to cup machine, so ordered what a great price :-)

fantastic machine though comparison to 4200 is wrong as that does have a cup warmer too (I have one).

Ensure you buy freshly roasted beans if you want the best out of the machine! The difference between them and 'supermarket' ones is huge.

Brilliant price. We have the 4200 and wouldn't be without the freshly ground cup in the morning. You can get 6 kilos of decent beans for under £50 too: amazon.co.uk/Lav…zza

Good Price - I also have the 4200 - Its a good investment as you get a good cup of coffee everyday

I have one of these machines. Highly recommend.

It takes a minute of so to warm and clean from startup. Then press button and away you go. Probably 2-3 minutes tops until it's ready. Steam arm is a good too. That takes perhaps a minute to be ready for use.

I have one of these - excellent machine, and a great price. Voted hot.

Those are a good brand, but personally I would use espresso beans which are strength grade 5 while these are 2

Great info....

Thanks OP - Amazon Prime and 1 Click are a dangerous combination.

Just ordered one fantastic buy my sister has one paid over £400 for it and she loves it

Not quite. ESAM4200 also has a cup warmer.

I have the Esam4200, I find it really good, produces coffee from beans very quickly.
The only niggle is the steam wand which is rigid and a bit short, but it's not really a problem and works quite well.

Very quick - You can get an espresso or Americano out within a minute. Steaming the milk for a latte takes a couple of minutes longer, but it's still very quick.

It says that it hasn't got a display on the amazon comparison chartYour text here

last time these were on offer in march similar machine see link
hotukdeals.com/dea…708
flubit beat the amazon price of £199 maybe worth a try if you can get an invitation from flubit, problem is amazon can alter their prices at any time, flubit are a bit slow in sending out invitations , never the less worth applying i think for a flubit , then you have invitation for a future purchase if not this one

Is it just my machine or has the steam button got a harder press/solid feel as opposed to the more clicky power & 1 or 2 cup buttons?
