Good price - I almost bought the higher spec model yesterday but realised it was waaay too big for my (decent size) kitchen. This one however, is about the same depth as a microwave.

£179.99 on Prime, got this a couple of months ago on the Tesco deal for £199.99. Absolutely fantastic machine, I thought I got a good deal!

Just dropped to 179.99 after ordering. Will I automatically be charged the lower price once it's despatched? No big deal, if not.

£179.99 in argos aswell if it helps anyone

Probably not - check your orders. You should be able to cancel and re-order though. I'd suggest you re-order first, though, and then cancel the first one, in that order, in case the price shoots up again.

This is a great bit of kit - so much more cost effective than a coffee pod machine.

Is this the cheapest B2C we have had so far this month? Great deal

Got one in Argos

Is this the best we will get? I was going for one that could do two cups at the same time? Also an integrated milk frother would be good. Not bothered about the size.

Love mine. I used to have a Dolce Gusto and this is so much better and no messing with pods. You pretty much just have to empty the large waste discs it creates into the bin every couple of days and keep it topped up with water. I’ve had mine around 3 months and have had to run the descale cycle once. Actually my wife done that because as we all know men don’t read instructions.
Oh yes you do need to put beans in every now and then too.

This coffee machine produces better coffee than any shop to be honest. I have a delonghi ec820.b which you can find for 100£ to be honest as a coffee lover it was the best thing I've bought. Way way better then the pods from dolce gusto or nespresso ( I have them in the attic now )

Thanks bought one last time it was on offer for 199. As its a chrostmas gift its still im the box, so reordered and other one is going back - 20 quid is better than no 20 quid

Gerat bargain for anyone needing one.

thank you TS, just ordered one for the office!

Does it last or should i get the Amazon 3 year cover as well.

It has a full 2 year rtb guarentee, you will only gain 1 year if you buy a 3 year policy.
If you have any issues in the 2 years, they arrange to pick it up, then return repaired/replaced within 10 days normally all at their cost.

Many thanks, We just ordered at Argos and also got 6% Quidco...merry Xmas to us

Is the difference between this and the ESAM4200 just the design?

Not invested in one myself yet - waiting for one with a milk attachment for sub £300, but from what I've read it seams all the Delonghi bean to cup machines are extremely well made for the price and give years of trouble free service - plenty of users bought these machines for the office and have literally made 1000's of cups without problems.

Purchased one of these today from Argos (with Quidco cashback). Just made my first cappucino (after fiddling with the settings for ages to make the pefect espresso shot) and I have to say I am very happy. The coffee it produces (assuming you buy decent beans) is amazing.

4200 has a cup warmer.

4200 has a cup warmer.

I can live without that to save £150. The cup warmers normally take too long to work anyway its easier to just run a cup under the hot water tap.

Please bare in mind how loud these are. If the bedroom is above the kitchen or you live in a flat it will wake people up. So I'm enjoying a cup of tea. (It's 5am)

It's currently only £20 more on amazon, but I have heard the cup warmers aren't that effective. You can always run them under hot water to warm them

argh ordered this but now I've seen the deal for the 4200. Is there any real difference between them that anyone can find?

I notice the 4200 talks about a 'silent' grinder, and the 2800 is meant to be noisy. If it's quieter then worth the extra £20 for me..

I'm also trying to find out what the differences are as find it hard to believe that there is a £100 RRP difference just for a cup warmer and cosmetic change!

Does this model also do the frothy milk thing e.g. makes Latte's?

It is purely cosmetic.

to be honest the time it takes to grind and pour the noise is not much of an issue unless its going to be in constant use - thats from watching youtube vids

yeah I don't think it's a deal-breaker otherwise I wouldn't have ordered the 2800. But if the 4200 is indeed quieter, then I'd much rather pay the extra £20 for it. If anyone can confirm it would be very much appreciated...
