RRP is inflated.
Very good entry level bean-to-cup coffee machine.
Milk frother is rubbish but my one of these has run everyday for three and a half years, at least four cups a day, without fail.

Bloody good engineering.
Have one of these. Very good indeed. Internals are the same as the more expensive range.
Agree the milk frother isn't brilliant and takes quite a bit of practice to get a decent microfoam just right.
Pricewise, this is an OK deal. Same price at Amazon and has bean for quite some time.

If you really like your coffee I recommend Square Mile coffee beans, their seasonal espresso (Red Brick) is soooooo good. I'm off to get another one

try cleaning the milk wand especially the very small hole as thats what draws the air in to froth the milk, I find this works for me
I love when companies then HUKD members in-turn quote silly RRPs

Thanks for the recommendation. Where abouts do you buy your beans? Directly from the .com Square Mile website?
For anyone interested in cheap but good quality beans, I found an interesting supermarket comparison chart which may be useful: supermarketownbrandguide.co.uk/sea…ore

I get mine off of one of the coffee stalls near my office. Either Pitch 42 or Giddy Up

Same price as online.

Has Bean Coffee (http://www.hasbean.co.uk/) is equally excellent.
From cheap coffee beans, Nero Cafe beans are the best and only £3.95 for 500g.
Got excited for a minute there- been looking for a coffee machine with a detachable milk carafe (something similar to Magnifica ESAM 04.350.S) but can't find for less than £400 and reluctant to pay more tbh. Anyone seen any deals?

Thanks for the recommendation. I cringe a bit at the £9.29 delivery charge for 6kg, though I guess if you are splitting costs with a friend it's not quite so bad!

Anyone else have any particular recommendations for good coffee beans?

Before buying in bulk it is worth reading the following article about how flavor degrades very quickly after roasting.

I voted hot for the decent price. They go for about £150-£200 for refurbs on Ebay - I just bought one, and apart from the box, it certainly appears brand new. The frother works great on mine, really thick stiff foam - i used semi skimmed milk, the instructions say that or skimmed since the fat stops the froth. We've had an expresso machine for about 30 years - still works great but what a hassle, so raley got used. This thing is incredibly hassle free, once set up, just press a button and you get a great cup of coffee, and that is with quite old ready ground coffee i had kicking around - can't wait till I get some decent beans. Can you buy them from places like cafe nero or similar, over the counter? The postage seems very expensive from the short time i've searched on line.
