Might be a time issue. You'll have to spend more time on a sage prepping your coffee but you'll prob get a better tasting coffee if you're into tasting.

Thanks- it’s a one time thing getting this coffee machine- wanna make sure I get it right- the missus definitely won’t allow me to get two!
I'd prefer a Sage but the one I was looking at was almost twice the price of this

Quidco owe me £40 and will give me 15% extra if I choose Debenhams vouchers, then maybe 5% cashback for ordering through Debenhams.

Can't decide! Help

If you want to spend time making coffee get the sage. If you have a fast paced life and want to get a coffee in quickly before getting on with everything else then go for the bean to cup. Both will make excellent coffees. If you're interested in becoming a barista or coffee connisuer then sage is the one. Although I'm not sure if the sage grinds beans for you? You may need to get a grinder if it doesn't

The sage is an espresso pump with a built in grinder essentially, It’s really well reviewed and has a double boiler, however I’ve never seen them for around the £250 mark and from what I’ve seen they aren’t as reliable as the delonghi.

I’ve took the plunge and bought this - it’s super slim, looks great for a cheap machine, makes great coffee, should be reliable for many years and easy to maintain / clean.
I have just bought a 23.120b from delonghi for £240. The trouble with all these is that there are so many model numbers, I don't know ow if this I better or not 😑

Tell her to get back in the kitchen and to make you a sandwich to go with your coffee
Prices all over the place, the Delonghi 2800 is suppose to be one of their entry level bean to cups, I bought it from Argos for less than £150 over christmas, now you cant get it for less than £250, where as these models as per this thread as supposed to be more expensive in the range currently cost less than the 2800.

Must say i am really impressed with the 2800, great machine, simple to use and perfect results everytime.

If you open a Debenhams credit card you also get 10% off first 7days purchases. So £225 is the price.

I bought one of these last summer (co-op electrical, £239). It gets used at least once every day and it is a brilliant machine. Plus at this price, its a steal. Highly recommended.

Where is it filled with water

Looks to be a rear tank on this, it's well spotted as find the front fill on my bean to cup so much better, less depth on the machine and you don't have to keep pulling machine out each time you fill the tank.I value a front fill so much it would be a deal breaker for me.
I have this at work done a good few years.. Recently broke down.
Upto £300 now

Anything over £50 in where I have to ask permission!
Ordered on 2nd of march and amazon finally delivered yesterday after 4 " were sorry there has been a delay " emails.

Anyhow, this thing is brilliant ! it looks much more expensive than £250's worth, is narrow for a bean to cup machine and I love the soft touch button approach, it's also very customizable and looks after it'self in regards to pre-heating the espresso system and rinsing before going into standby. it's also made in Italy which is a nice change from everything these day's being made in china.

Just make sure you properly pre-heat your cups especially as the heavy Italian style one's will make your drinks cool if not pre-heated !

p.s even the none coffee drinking GF has submitted and mention it's a nice thing for friends and family to enjoy during visits
Ive managed to loose the measuring spoon for adding ground coffee. Would anyone be able to tell me how many ml's the spoon is? I'm hoping I have a similar size measuring spoon already in the cupboard!!
