I'd never heard of these but saw one at Tesco Stratford upon Avon. I read reviews on my phone and decided to buy it.
I've had a Tefal Actifry for years, it's broken down in many ways but I'm handy with electricals and have kept it going.
The Delonghi is much better built. It makes much better chips (I'm sure most buy these just for chips), it looks better, has a bigger capacity, more flexibility and a thermostat.
These are £179 at Currys, £90 on ebay as I type this. The basic version without lower element is £80 at Tesco now.
Instore price was £67, reduced from £134. I'd buy one over a Tefal at the same price. If they have one local to you, grab it and love it or make a few quid selling it on.
Stratford's not a huge store so you might find lots in a bigger store.

I noticed on youtube it can also fry chicken and all sorts.... Interesting. I've recently completely updated my whole kitchen and reluctant to put the old deep fat fryer back as its a bit outdated now.
Wouldn't be without ours.
I've tried it on homecut fresh chips and it took around 20 minutes to cook chips from 5 medium potatoes. I use a small amount of beef dripping instead of oil. I've now cooked some nice crispy roast potatoes in it (around 35 minutes) and some Mccain oven fries (4 minutes). The paddle doesnt start turning straight away, so I let it run for 5 minutes before putting the Mccain fries in.
Have you thought that through?
