Hack to make it grind finer:
geekandgrind.tumblr.com/pos…der

My Morphy Richard's just packed in (it wasn't suitable for espresso anyway) so I've just bought this one.

Voted HOT just for the fact that there's a 'hack' for a coffee grinder - really impressed

Was put off buying this model before because of the reviews that it does not grind fine enough, but that hack looks good

"Burr" is the noise it makes after it is hacked

Cracking grinder and it grinds finely enough as far as I'm concerned but I do use the finest setting available.

Good price, I'd definitely buy another one if I needed to.

I have had this grinder for over a year and use it about every second day, it grinds finely enough for my espresso machine. Must admit like Chirpa when I do eventually manage to burn it out I will buy the same model again.

Same price at John Lewis and you get 2 year warranty as standard. Link is johnlewis.com/de-…144

I have this too... Can also be hacked... with an electric screwdriver - for speedy grinding!

He used it for years before it broke down, so for still great for the price. And he then resorted to a hand grinder... Not many people have time for that.

Picked this up today and just pulled a very good long shot of espresso. It grinds fine enough without the 'hack' and I'm quite fussy about my coffee. The best thing is that it grinds consistently so very little / no variation between coffee grain sizes.

Certainly worth buying if anyone is in two minds.

I've had one of these for about a year, using it at least once a day (and sometimes a lot more) to make espresso and espresso-based drinks with a Gaggia Baby. I did "hack" it - although only the hack suggested on the Amazon reviews, not the more elaborate one from the link above. Works really well and makes some delicious shots.

Mine sadly bit the dust the other day, as my wife decided to use it as a spice grinder, then washing it(!)

Looked at the more expensive options, but at this price I'm happy to just get another one of these.

Don't forget extra £5 off if using code: TDX-HQ9T. States new customers only but don't forget gmail work around I.e. set up a new account and add a full stop anywhere with the email address and you will still receive email confirmation to your gmail account. Makes this a bargain £27. Just purchased one myself at this price.

The price @ tesco direct has gone up but the code above still works, takes it from £35.50 to £30.50
