I've had mine for 2 years and love it. Very good coffee
Always use bottled water so you don't have to Descale it every month
There's a similar cheaper model but has more plastic, less stainless steel. The mirrored surface allows you to put coffee in without bending over to check its in the right place

Paid about this price at John Lewis a few months ago, shame it's out of stock now as so far I am pretty happy with it.

And bottled water has as much, if not more, calcium content than tap water

Depends on the source, if from Limestone obviously it will have high levels, if from granite rocks obviously not.

I would wonder. De-scaling is a chemical process and far from environmentally friendly, and wrecking machines very prematurely by scaling them up is pretty seriously polluting as well as expensive as you are going to need a LOT more a lot sooner! I don't use bottled water in my machine, but this thread is getting me seriously thinking of giving it a try, as I pay just 17p for 2L of much softer bottled water than I have at home from the tap which I filter (another pollutant and a cost), and I wonder how much less descaling it is going to end up with.
