I have this and can highly recommend.
My brother has this. Makes good coffee. He did kill one machine by using too fine a grind though iirc.

There is a coffee bag adaptor too which makes cleanup easier, coffee weaker and not as nice though ime.
Save yourself money and get a bialetti moka for much better coffee!

A Moka pot looks like a 2 piece, metal, mini kettle/teapot. It makes strong coffee similar to espresso but imo not as good. No crema, although there are pressurised versions which apparently make a crema. Not going to complain considering a cheap Moka pot is £5 of course.

This is a Bialetti Mocka Express, a small one cup one for about £18. You heat it on your hob and as it creates less pressure than a full machine it makes good coffee in between an espresso and a filter coffee. It's a bit fiddly and get very hot. Until today, I just thought they were known as stove-top espresso makers. On pretty much every stove top in France and Italy - well lots of them at least!)
Good machine. Bought from John Lewis a few years ago still going strong.

Likewise. The only niggle is occasionally the coffee holder can get clogged. Apart from that it's a great workhorse. Bought mine 3 years ago from a czech website.

I personally have a thing about those stove-top coffee makers - they're invariably made from aluminium which a) means they can't go in the dishwasher and b) rightly or wrongly I still associate aluminium with Alzheimers and given the amount of coffee I drink and the acidic nature of the coffee I can't bring myself to want to use one. I have a feeling the link between aluminium intake and Alzheimers was debunked a while back but still can't bring myself to trust one for frequent daily use.

For the same aluminium stories I bought and older version of this steel one: Bialetti Venus Induction Espresso Maker 4 Cup, but still find it a bit of a faff, so use it rarely.

Nice deal. I use an older model for espresso in the morning, i know you can grind your own etc but love Illy from the tin, taste of Italy! Defiantly my preference for espresso. Do have a moka pot 2 cup and Lavazza Rossa or Espresso works great for me in that. What I do with that is pour between 2 cups and add top up with hot water then milk, tastes great and way superior than any instant coffee. I used to find it a faff but pour hot water in the pot first then heat, just make sure a teatowl on hanf so no burnt hands! Takes a few minutes and done.

No it's not. It's better than instant certainly, but it's nothing like espresso in any shape or form.

Me too... it was half this price though, the cost of machines has gone into orbit and on out of the solar system :-(
I have this in the same Champagne colour, only used a handful of times and just been sat there as don't drink coffee. Would be looking to sell it if anyone is interested? PM me
