Just press OK wehn you want the milk to stop and it will continue withe the coffee.

Have a look in the manual. You can modify the programmes to deliver the amount of milk and coffee as you need to suit your cup size. From memory I think you select the drink you want in the menu, then hold down OK until it starts, then press OK during the delivery once you reach the milk amount you want, then OK again once to stop the coffee as needed.

how do you stop the milk when using the carafer ? for a single default setting of caffee laate it seems to use all the milk and overfilling the mug

This one is more like fashion. We started with Lavazza (costco 1kg 8quid on offer), after few month get fed up and start trying different ones. Amazon is great place for coffee hunt as their prices fluctuate reasonably so just add ones to camel or wishlist and every few months you can try different tastes. Things to consider with all these settings in this damn thing it will take you good few month to find your best recipe settings (annoyed) (y)

Showing as £469 now. Sorry you did not manage to get it. I am glad i did not sleep on it as i often do. I am in a very hard water area, what is the cheapest way to protect the machine. can I use filtered water (one of the websites mentioned you couldn't drink the water from their water softener) does a filter help prevent lime scale or is it only when you use a softener.

Melitta are also pretty good in this price bracket (TS/TSP). Had our TSP for two years now and not one issue.

I see there is a possibility of a 10% code too if you join their mailing list. If one is able to use this too then this is good value (which is different to 'bargain')

I have had the De'Longhi Prima Donna bean to cup machine for the past seven years and love the excellent results it still produces using Lavazza beans. I paid around £1000 seven years ago and it is used several times each day. If I needed to replace my current one (which I don't) I would have no hesitation in replacing it with this machine.

Not the cheapest its "bean", but cheapest I could find currently

I drink latte's so for me I like the idea of the milk container as I only have to put the container on and then press a button and I get a latte. Currently I have to grind the beans, then steam the milk by hand and finally the coffee so it saves a bit of time. With regard to comparing heating the milk in the microwave its chalk and cheese! When you steam the milk you get tiny bubbles in it which make the milk a lot smoother which has quite an impact on the end result of the drink.

I use mine 3-4 times a day; more if I have guests over. The LatteCrema system is fantastic and makes a really great latte, cappuccino, etc. Programming milk volume and coffee volume is a simple process and worth doing to make sure you set the various types of coffee in the way you like it. If, however, you intend to keep adding cold milk to your coffee, it would not be worth buying a bean to cup with milk carafe and you’d be better off buying a cheaper bean to cup with frothing nozzle instead.

It's true. Too much overpriced Rrp. That's why I am waiting for 44.660 for no more than £350. And I have question for people owning b2c with milk dispenser. Is it wort it? Do you really use it? Because I add cold milk to my coffee but I don't know how big will be the difference with hot milk from machine. (yes I knooow I can heated it in microwave etc. etc but maybe directly from the machine will make some bubbles or magic I don't know :))

+1 to the awesome coffee bit - I have a slightly different model but their insides are pretty much the same. Mine has delivered around 7k coffees so far showing they are built to last as well. With some decent beans you'll be drinking a quality cuppa with this machine. Nespresso are good and clean but using original capsules (the best by far) gets really pricey.

Got one of these earlier this year. Awesome coffee (y)

It was the same before I posted and I gave up on my phone. I did manage to get on but I think the website itself is a bit rubbish

The site was really slow whenI went on and it wouldn't let me get as far as looking at my cart. Probably due to people off here trying to get a bargain.

Nice bean to cup machine reduced to 259.99! The CELEBRATE18 (supposed to be a 15% discount) code knocks an extra £67 off! I ordered one on Sunday and it's just shipped!

Cancelled my order. I ordered a different model as well.

If you find a manual it says it on there, but its press and hold the 2nd or 3rd button for few seconds and you can edit it. Also this is how you would change determine amount of limescale.

I've recently purchased this machine second hand and the water isn't quite as hot as I feel it should be when I make a coffee. How do you adjust the water temperature? Any tips for using the machine?

My one has been used pretty much every day for the last 3 years. It's pretty well put together and all the plastics are of a good quality. Nothing has broken or snapped off.

Ordered for my birthday, can't wait to get it :-)

Thanks, yes Brita (predicted text syndrome). The water hardness test strips were missing with my machine. Will source.

I got these: They were £23.99 when I got them last year according to my order history. Assuming you mean "Brita" filtered water I guess you dont need to use a filter in the machine aswell. I guess it would also reduce how often you need to descale it, so you should do the water hardness test with the Brita filtered water to determine the descaling interval.

Which filters do you buy from amazon please and do you need to change it even if using Brit’s filtered water? Thanks

I had one of these machines before buying a newer delongi model from Curry’s. It’s a great machine, make lovely coffee and easy to use, just fill the water container and empty the grinds container when the indicator lights on the front panel come on. Great price, you won’t be disappointed. Once you own a bean to cup machine you will always have a bean to cup machine

Thanks, in stock, code still works and unlike the Co-op ebay deals, they will post to N.Ireland. The dream is this works out cheaper than the £50 a month we're spending on Nespresso, tastes as good and isn't a complete pain to clean

I was going to get a ESAM 4200 for £219 on Amazon but this one has a few more features, is smaller and looks better IMO. Has single tank "rapid boil" as one of the main extra features (basically heats up and cools down much quicker). I've been in the game for a bean to cup since I took my Gaggia apart. No more messing around to make a decent coffee. I have been doing comparisons between a number of machines for around this price for about 48 hours so thanks OP no more OCD. I'm free!

Got the model up when doing their January offer. If is anywhere near as good would recommend.

I just clean out the coffee tray and spillage tray once a week. In-between just empty the used coffee in a container and put it in your green bin or garden and put the residual water down the sink when it gets full. Just a quick wipe over after each use. Its no big job.

I have mine sat on a wooden board and when it's time to fill up with beans (in the top of the primadonna I have, whereas water tank comes out the front), I simply slide the whole machine out, twist it around on the board, fill and then slide back in under the units. I got AO to price match, which they were happy to do. Just felt a bit more comfortable dealing with their CS than Delonghi if anything went wrong. Delighted with the machine and great price (approx half of what John Lewis are asking)

Hot from me. I bought the Eletta ECAM 44.660.B on black Friday fro £370, but this is just the super compact version of that. Very good price! brilliant machine.

So an extra £500 for a colour screen and hot chocolate function that can be done on any of these bean to cups. It's not even close to being a 'good price'. It's for muppets who don't know any better.

Did I not just say the things? I've repeated many times already. You just see one side of the story and just reading what you want to. Watch the video for prima donna then you'll see the difference. I have the Delonghi Autentica and the options are nowhere near this machine in terms of customising your coffee and you can create more profiles to make life easier. I agree the rrp price is stupidly priced but 900 is a good price for Wi-Fi, hot chocolate function, LED colour controls etc. If you don't like it don't buy it, but your words sound condescending even though you might not intend to be. ;)

How does posting deals mean my opinion is somehow less valid? That's some flawed logic you got going there. You're just bitter because the truth hurts.

Please tell me how this coffee machine is so much more?

So you are saying that the guy who paid full price should have waited and paid half price? Maybe he has money to burn or wants the hot chocolate and wifi function 8) it might not all be about coffee for him, You just assumed he bought a coffee machine to make coffee! This machine does so much more (cheeky)

You will be very happy with it, the Sage is a nice bit of kit but overpriced for what it is, it's almost in the price range of pro machines and it's just a single thermoblock.

Thank you. I've gone for the esam4200 on offer on Amazon at £199 just to see how I get on with it. I was gonna opt for the Sage barista but I thought try this and I can always get another if I don't like the way this works! Thank you!

I'm not really sure which ones have profiles, I know they do a "My Coffee" option, but that's basically one profile. Maybe some of the higher end ones like the Eletta or Prima Donna would have more profiles?, some have a colour touch screen but they are quite expensive. If you want ease of use get one with a screen not one with manual controls at all, they will need changing for each different drink. I personally prefer using a steam wand, I find it easier and better. Do you have a John Lewis near you? They are very helpful and often do demonstrations on the models.

Can you help me please? You seem to know a lot about coffee machines :) I currently have a Latissima touch and I love it because it's one touch. The coffee is however tepid at best and the brother gives warm milk. I'm looking for a bean to cup that is relatively easy to use but produces excellent coffee and milk based coffee without too much faff. I'd prefer it not to be too noisy and the coffee must be hot not warm.also not bothered about how big as I have the counter space. I'd prefer something finished quite metallic. And one that memorises hubby's and I preferences to make it easier. Max budget around £500. We make between 4 and six cups a day. Thanks in advance if you can help!

I had the Autentica briefly and it annoyed me with the rear fill tank, I could remove it but was a faff putting it back on each time. It also has a small capacity compared to the front loading ones. Which extra features do you want? I'm very happy with the ECAM23.420 I got from Currys, I tested it back to back with my Autentica and it makes better coffee. I tested the water temp with a thermometer on both and this is about 8c higher consistently. I guess you can mess around with temp settings but I get the impression the bigger machine is better from using it. Well done on the repair, it's a great feeling when you fix something :)
