Excellent deal ... I've had one for over 5 years and it's still going strong making 2 or 3 espressos daily!

So, HEAT!!
This is a great price for an excellent Bean to Cup machine IMHO. I got one from Amazon a couple of years ago and have been very pleased with it. It makes consistently good coffee and is still going strong after daily use. Not often this cheap !
Good deal, I recommend this machine.
Paid £230 for this from Amazon 3 years ago. It's a great machine, i'm very happy with it.
Do you get the free gifts as well?
Great machine using for about 5 months
I really want to buy this, I really shouldn't! Hot.

Do it! You will not regret it.
Anyone knows when the voucher expires?
I have also had one of these for 4 years. I only paid £149 as I recall on an amazing Tesco deal. It's a great machine and used on a daily basis producing great coffee. I'd highly recommend it.

Bah! Don't encourage me. I was tempted to smash my current machine so I'm forced to upgrade.
I have had one for over eighteen months and also love it: great machine that delivers good coffee.
The bit about the silent internal grinder made me chuckle. It is far from silent, but what machine would be! I paid £230, by the way.

Had mine nearly 4 years, used almost daily. Only issue is the milk wand thingy leaks slightly when the knob is positioned all the way to the right, only stopping fully somewhere mid way. I suspect sending it for a band 1 service for £90 would fix that but may as well just live with it. help2.delonghi.com/sys…GB/

if you have beans in the machine, but someone wants a cup of another coffee say, ground decaff. can you do that?
It's regularly around this price so I wouldn't say this is a hot deal, however it is a great machine.

Got mine for less than £170 brand new a few years ago, it's still going strong.
It worked out at £168.74 at Amazon which was a real bargain.
I’m struggling with this on a couple of fronts so any advice is appreciated!

Firstly, can I justify £200+ on a machine to make a couple of coffees every Saturday/Sunday? I’m trying to convince myself beans will cost a lot less than whatever Nescafé azzura type stuff that the wife buys in the long run..

The other thing is the exact machine. Saw a deal yesterday on a slightly higher model (I believe it was this
r.ebay.com/azxg2l

I think the deal was around £300 with a code

I then found another model:
currys.co.uk/gbu…tml

It’s at curry’s but I can get 8% off through work and comes with the milk dispenser.

So anyway, out of those three can anyone recommend the best option? We will typically have white americanos or latte’s..

We use ours daily it’s a great machine when you’ve experimented with the different beans and mixtures and perfected what you like
I convinced myself i deserve this machine so I bought it

Yes, you just turn the strength selector to ground coffee (or the spoon picture).

You just spoon it in from the top hole, and it misses out the grinding action.

Had mine for must be 5 years now and it still makes great coffee. If you maintain it and use descaler you will serve you many years!
I really want one of these. But can I justify £200. How does it compare to the slightly dearer machines?

I got mine about 2 months ago for roughly the same from Amazon (damaged box deal). Love it, there is a thread I think on avforums all about setting it up right. People complain about coffee not hot enough but their the people using it wrong. Just remember it’s a espresso machine, what you do with it afterwards is how good or bad your coffee will be.
Mine 6 and half years old now and still going strong with daily use, will buy another if it ever packs up!

Couldn’t agree more! It’s really not silent. But it’s a fantastic bit of kit that I have used daily for the last 7 months without any issues. I always put a mug under the nozzles when switching it on which saves a bunch of cleaning afterwards.

These machines are fantastic. My machine has delivered 6k coffees in under 3 years. It still works as new.

I've tried most other coffee machines and this is on another level, especially for the price.

My brother has a much pricier Delonghi. The mechanics of delivery are pretty much the same. If you like coffee and have worktop space, you'll love it. Do it!
Ordered... I'm in so much trouble
It's a good machine, but not perfect. I bought at pretty-much the same price from Amazon in last-year's Black Friday sale. After five months, the grinder broke. Both the grinder and the PCB needed to be replaced, which Delonghi did under guarantee. It's not a simple machine and i'm still getting the hang of all the settings. So beware if you are not prepared to put in the time. The coffees are superb, but the milk steamer lets the machine down a little. But, for less than 200£, it's well worth it!
P.S. read the Amazon reviews for more info (as there are a lot of them).

I am sure I read somewhere that you couldn't mix, but I have just checked the manual and stand corrected!
My wife will kill me, she drinks decaff and I said you can't mix ground and beans...whoops!
I've had this machine for a couple of years now, before that I used Dolce Gusto, but what a difference, this is so much better, although as a footnote I would say I am now a full an addict, I can't funtion without at the very least 2 cups per day...so you have been warned.

Also had one fault while under guarantee the steamer became very under powered and stopped frothing correctly, i did have to send it back TWICE before Delonghi fixed it correctly. Top tip remove the outer nozzle it froths the milk far better.
Ordered, now I need someones spare room until the heat dies down, I can bring coffee!

Thanks OP!

Sage machines do look good and the Heston Blumenthal banding portrays an air of "reassuringly expensive" you do pay top dollar for them but I wonder how many would buy the same machine with Breville branding on it?
