This butter is weird - its just filled with chunks of sea salt - how can that be good for you! I bought it, made a sandwich and then through it all in the bin.

Well, you're eating butter, so the horse has already left the stable really...at least sea salt is high in minerals and trace elements unlike 'table salt'. ;-P

Hot Deal Heat Added

There are salt mines. The deposits being mined may have originally been part of a dried up sea, but are now far underground. When the salt is deposited, it separates out into the different types of salt, and it is possible for common table salt to be mined almost free of other salts found in sea salt. Alternatively, it may be purified by a separate process.

Seems to be nationwide as loads in our store and was told it will run until after Xmas.

Great for cooking with - try frying cabbage in it, no smell when cooking, cant vouch for after eating though!!

Nope, Table salt is made from the reaction between sodium and chlorine. (Technically, it's a complex process but generally that's how it's made)

Eat margarine instead, full of chemicals!

lol perfectly put and yes you are right - the salt in this butter is just too much, like chunks.

I know its called Deluxe. But its just Lidl produce.

This butter is amazing spread on it's own! Why did we remove salt from so many of our products.
