This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

There was a similar deal on here a month back from Euro Car Parts via their eBay shop. I love Carplan products so bought it but failed to realise it was de-icing also. Went to use the screenwash last night when it was icy and suddenly realised this fact.

Been searching as would like some more and found this deal. Thought I’d share.

6.99 rrp but can get at £5.99 regularly. This stuff is very good from experience.

Ranges from £7-£10, from what I’ve seen. Halfrauds were about a tenner.

I love everything about Demon products, though oddly used to think Carplan stuff was crap. I was clearly wrong!
Is this concentrate or ready mixed

Both - I use it neat for maximum effect.

Sadly my screenwash capacity is 6 litres, so buy 3 bottles at a time.
According to the application instructions, this goes in mixed with screen wash

Then the water is added

Do you mix with your current screen wash like the ones from ECP ? Or use it as a screen was itself

I use it neat but now see they recommend using alongside regular screenwash.

It's only one bottle for that price. Don't know why the link says 6, but when carry on it changes.

Halfords don't sell this as far as I'm aware. Never seen it in store or online.
fsheehan01/12/2019 20:31

Is this for 6x 2.5L containers so total of 15 litres?

Looks like only for 1. Have asked them the question just in case.

Wouldn’t worry about it too much.
Yeah, same here, advertised as 6 tho and £12 is way too expensive so hopefully it is for 6!! Bargain for 6

I've asked them also, I said if I'm not getting 12 bottles please refund me.
£4.28 from euro car parts useing code bf19 pick up only
Only the first pic in link shows as x6.
NO mention of it being for 6 bottles in their description.
Incredibly shady business practise.

Has anybody that asked them a question heard back yet?

They weren't replying to emails so I called them on 03330439550 and they have refunded me.

They apologized and said there had been an error on their system.

Bargain - That’s a £1 cheaper than my B&M! Must be a misprice - you should post which store.

When I used this stuff I noticed no difference between it and normal -15c screenwash. Apart from it smelt nicer and was more than double the cost.
De-Icing screenwash, that's one way to ruin your windscreen wipers.

That's what I was thinking, are you supposed to wash your windscreen the night before???
OOS
Sold out.
Is this likely to eat the rubber away around my windscreen?, i've used de-icer on cars in the past and it made the rubber brittle and it started cracking

So how do you drive down a motorway in winter when roads are covered in salt and mud and your windscreen is filthy?? It’s like saying tarmac - one way to ruin your tyres

I think people assume you can just squirt this and de-ice their windscreen, however on all cars (Excluding classic vehicles, especially those with a manual pump) the wipers activate as soon as you activate the washers, nothing worse for the wipers than running over a frozen windscreen, the rubber will be cold, hard and it will damage them, or worse tear if they are frozen to the windscreen.

In the scenario you give above the wipers are free to move with no ice on the windscreen and the screenwash will wash off the road debris and lubricate the wipers.
Edited by: "RustySpoons" 3rd Dec
Stupid question... But doesn't using your windscreen wipers on an iced windscreen destroy them and reduce their effectiveness
