Oh dear... This will be the essentials verison not the phantom as in the photo. I wouldn't trust a company that can't put up the right photo of an item. Cold.

The online part of this game is quite deserted, but you could easily spend dozens (or even hundreds) of hours playing offline. Best area i found to invade is 1-2 at soul level 1-10. Think SL120 PvP in 4-1 is dead. Anyway, good find, heat added.

Cold due to the wrong photo? The OP didn't mention anything about it being the phantom edition or does the website. Grainger Games is a decent retailer both instore and online.

Voted hot also £7.99 pre owned if you want to save the extra few quid.

played it last week from my PS+ free content list, it's my second RPG game I've ever played so far, it's also the second most diffficult RPG game on PS3. I spent 4 hours on it, tried to fight the first boss without the appropriate weapon and I constantly died and didn't manage to get my soul points back. I gave up.

Best game on the PS3. Easily.

Granted this was 2 years ago, but when I bought it "new" from grainger games, I received a used American copy. Don't be surprised if it's obviously used.

You gave up on phalanx? he is the easiest boss in the game.

Major hint, use turpentine on your weapon to ignite it, circle round to his open side and hit, if more baby phalanxs cover the open side just keep killing them.

i know...i'm never an RPG person... I saw a lot of hints on the bloodstains but I wasted all my flammable weapons before going to the boss, and then my lost soul points were trapped in the boss level. I was playing pretty well until I went to the boss....lol, anyway it's all fun to know what this game is all about.

Fantastic game, highly recommended. I've finished it once, moved on to Dark Souls, finished that and now working my way through Dark Souls 2. I will be returning to Demons Souls after finishing DS2. Hot Hot Hot!!

If anyone is interested in the black phantom edition, I have it for sale including guidebook etc all in VGC. Would sell for £15 and happy to open a FS thread to reserve for interested parties.

Hey guys, turns out its the essentials version but it is PAL at least.

"Thanks for your email- this is a UK PEGI copy and is the essentials edition of the game. Unfortunately due to low stock this game may be unsealed for store security purposes."

Great game, the best (or perhaps second after Dark Souls [I can't decide]) of the last generation.
Don't give up too early, the hardest part is at the beginning.

PS. I have 2 plats of this game and I'm rubbish at games.

I really don't see why low stock means they have to unseal the games. If it's not factory sealed it's not new. It's that simple. This should have been listed as a mint copy. If I listed something as new on eBay and sent it unsealed I could imagine the buyer being pretty **** off.

I still remember when Gamestation was around and they too kept a few unsealed copies of their games. A friend of mine used to work for them and said the opened copies were almost always staff members who took the game home to play. They'd take the disc home in a plastic wallet whilst the case stayed at the shop. Once they were finished with it they brought the game back to the shop and sold it off to the first buyer. This was authorised by the manager so according to their shop rules nothing wrong was happening. Who's to say Grainger staff don't do the same, and these are simply left overs of games staff once played?

I just think they just open them up for some strange reason. When I went and got FIFA 14 on launch day every single copy had been opened from what I could tell. My local keep the discs in a locked filing cabinets.
