good find

Grey only a my local

Dam n hate it when links only goto main site
Heat added though looks hot if can find them

Good deal

Not 'real' Denby.....but still a decent price for a starter set.

Absolutely lovely I have the grey set. I have other Denby but this set is great for everyday use and with Kids......its a must

Nice, voted hot

Ahh it's the budget intro set, still a good deal it is at your local.

just been into my local store and they were priced at £30 and scanned at £30 too...

Great set

Bit of a cheek calling it Denby. It isnt made at Denby Pottery, its imported junk and sold under the Denby name.

As long as people are aware of this when they buy it then fair enough but many people will expect Denby quality and im afraid this just isnt realistic. Put it another way, a genuine single denby plate would cost as much as this whole set! So you have to be realistic when buying this set.

Still £30 in Morrisons at Johnstone.

What do you class as 'real' Denby? I thought if it was made by Denby and advertised on their website, then it was real, genuine Denby... Heat added for this 'unreal' Denby offer.

Exactly....its not made by Denby!!!...its imported. The whole point of my post.

Don't believe the hype. This stuff is crap. 2 plates chipped far too easily. Denby baking tray (bought separately) cracked whilst in oven. Never again.

Oh well. I didn't look at the description to start, but I have now and it's designed by Denby, so it's good enough for me and quite a few other people by the looks of things....

Aggression only moves in one direction - it creates more aggression.

The actual crockery made in the Denby factory in the UK (ie the normal 'expensive' priced stuff) is exceptionally high quality...these cheap imported from china sets are garbage and not a patch on normal Denby crockery. To be honest im gobsmacked Denby put their name to it, but I guess theres a marketing reason behind it.

You get what you pay for...and getting a whole 16 piece set for the price of 1 standard Denby plate tells you everything you need to know about these sets.

It's not real Denby, nor is it made in Denby. It's not worth the money unless ur just after the label. Which might b all ur left with when the handles all fall off ur cups and plates break before Xmas dinner is dished up!

(Un)interesting factoid... I used to work with one of the Denby family...

That is all

Real Denby is bulletproof i paid £160 for a dinner set about 7 years ago and its still perfect today. After 3 kids throwing them off high chairs and me bouncing cups of tea off the kitchen floor I can't fault it and certainly got my money's worth. U get what u pay for!

£30 in Morrisons Scarborough, glad I read the comments on here regarding it not being very good.

If you look at comment 1 from sotv they have helpfully put a link, click on the blue Denby!

Can anyone confirm country of manufacture is China?

What difference does it make?

What difference does it make?

Quality of the Chinese goods is not equivalent to the UK-made Denby. Best deal does not always equal cheapest price.

I also prefer to buy British to directly support UK workers, because I am lucky enough to be able to do so.

£30 in Chelmsford branch. "Half price from £60"

Anyone know if it's £20 in Maldon?

Thanks

It has already been established earlier in the thread that these are not made in Denby or even the UK.

I only asked why it mattered if china made or not because its cheap tat and in reality it doesnt matter if Indonesia. ...China...pakistan.etc etc.

back but saw as £25 even it still cheaper than other store!!

heat for that but expired

rang Morrisons customer service department to see which store local to me sold these, they say catagorically Morrisons DO NOT sell denby!! ? telling me this site has got it wrong
pehaps if they got a few emails, if any one fancies it, they would get it right and be able to tell me where these bargains can be had
