It does NOT look like a sofa.

What speakers would be the best fit for this one ?

Where do I plug in my turntable and 8 track?

Too basic.

£20 more gets you this;

I'm a newbie, can't tell the back from the front

No DAB tuner? Okay, it is still a receiver even it only has FM/AM, but might as well be only an amplifier for most buyers, I think.

But at that price, even considered as merely a Denon amplifier: hot!

What about that other make?Think it began with O not B

I agree this one does not look like a sofa

Can most AV receivers decode file formats such as MKV, MPEG 2 & 4, FLV, VOB, TS, AVI, Quick Time etc through their USB connections on the system??

Don't think this is as good as the pioneer I bought for the same last month from them. No binding posts just cheapo clips on this one. My one was made to sell for £200 this one was made to sell For £100

Mmm Denon.

I'm not sure most people would be bothered about DAB. I've certainly never used the radio functionality of any AVR I've owned.

Infinite Element

Mmm Denon.

Depends which model it is

not bad at all for the price but very limited inputs.

The TEAC that I got the last time it was on here is really good. I did wonder if it would be better than my aging DSP-A5, but it certainly is.

The only bad thing I can see on this is the spring clip terminals, the TEAC has proper terminal posts, worth the extra money imo. Then again, it is another quarter the price on top.

Got to read the contents on the packaging, may also contain aspartame to try and sweeten the deal.

first off this is a budget receiver so dont expect much.

good for second living room. if i had 100 id buy it but rather spend more and get new receiver for room and old receiver to second room. for a budget conscious person i say its a good receiver 75w rms not big but decent, dts hd, 4 hdmi ins. imo better than all in ones with a good set of ebay 5.1 surrround sound speakers.

Decent price for a budget receiver and a good starting point for someone wanting to move to a separate system from an all in one, anyone that has an amp though i would go the same route as soltakr

Looks good price to me.. Can anyone recommend good speakers for this receiver please as I am new to this systems ?

Your budget ?

I also have the teac and am really happy with mine to though think a lot of people find them hard to set up as they are many settings on the amp.

Shame about the speaker terminals but a good starter receiver nonetheless!
