Currently still £299.99 instore only at Richersounds - but this is a great price for the receiver delivered next day.

There is a possibility of Peter Tyson price-matching the RS deal via their form entitled "Seen a better offer?"

See Babbler's instore RS deal here

I have this AVR from a previous Richersounds deal and am very pleased with it - packs a real punch.

What Hi-fi review here

Fully loaded with the very latest audio and video technologies, the AVR-X2300W delivers incredibly immersive surround sound, optimised via extensive sound tuning - not to mention plenty of amplifer power.

What HiFi? Five star review - "It’s a polished performer that never fails to entertain".

This or the Yamaha RXV681?

This
8 in/2 out (HDCP 2.2 - 8/2)
vs
6 in/1 out (HDCP 2.2 - 3/1)

As you said £299 @ RS but join their VIP Club, for free and get a tenner off then add 6 year warranty for £30odd.

Extra tenner for double warranty.

Bought mine a few weeks ago from RS for £320, after VIP discount.
Went in today to extend the warranty and noticed it in the window for 300. The assistant promptly applied the new price and sorted warranty for £10 Excellent service!

The Receiver is awsome by the way.
Running 5.1.2 Atmos.

Edit: Oh, and if you don't claim on the warranty you can get the cost refunded after 6 years!

Well worth the effort of going to store... If you can

Sounds like you're enjoying it just as much as I have been!

I was looking at this receiver to replace my old Pioneer receiver but as the wife is going mad about trailing cables I am considering the new generation of Dolby Atmos soundbars, like the Samsung
richersounds.com/pro…-xu

I know it is much more expensive (although you have to consider the cost of speakers when buying AV receiver) but it is much cleaner set up. As Sony, Yamaha and Onkyo have released their Atmos soundbars I am hoping that prices will drop by christmas

In your use case I can see why something like that would be interesting. Can't you just run thinner speaker cable? It's not that bad!

Looks great but unfortunately for it's dual HDMI out rather than having separate channels / a matrix
Anyone with any recommendations for an AV with separate HDMI outs at all?
And is Dolby Atmos worth it?
Thanks a lot!

Atmos sounds amazing with the right setup, but if you don't put all the speakers in and have a good room layout it might be a little excessive.

Good price, got mine from them a couple of months back at £349. Really happy with it. Heat added.

Dolby surround mix eq setting will make use of atmos speakers with any audio

How is this for two channel audio playback, my beloved arcam avr350 has just died and I mainly listen to stereo with occasional films so to channel is more important than surround, but I still want surround sometimes!

What speakers do you have?

What speakers do you have?

KEF Q35.2s, old but trusty! They are quite laid back so they need something fairly punchy to drive them.

Just those? 2.0? Why not a stereo amp?

I always leave a gap when fitting skirting boards, this allows the carpet to fit underneath and allows cables to be hidden.

Oh right, so do you think it's worth the extra speakers and cable?

This AV receiver has a very high rating and is very well reviewed everywhere. But i cant believe it after buying,i've realised it performs like a nightmare, bluetooth is laggy as hell,u try to control it thru bluetooth for example if you wish to skip forward, the amp only reacts seconds after,u may think a few seconds dont sound much, but when you're using it it seriously is disappointing and frustrating,it makes watching youtube especially painful.. lips and sound dont much at all. And to connect it phone to amp thru bluetooth it takes forever as well.. unlike my bluetooth earphone, soon as u switch phone's bluetooth on and earphone on,they connect immediately whereas the denon takes a good minute to connect altho paired up before already. Im not by any means exaggerating. The control is faster with apple Airplay but still a bit laggy whereas anything thats sent from my phone to my bluetooth earphone is instant, literally instant. And if you not facing the amp directly or have an object in front of you/amo,the remote control won't work. When u connect it to tv its a bit slow as well. This amp is rather disappointing,i guess the reviews and rating got my expectations too high up. Now i've learned that reviews are not always true

Hi linhang, it may be worth returning the unit you have for a new replacement. These issues are something I haven't experienced with my unit so yours may be under performing due to a manufacturing or software fault. Best of luck!
