5 year warranty too. Hot!
90p cheaper at Richer Sounds but no 5yr warranty
I have this amp, from Peter Tyson (Newcastle branch) it did indeed come with a 5 year warranty. It also sounds great!
Bought one from here last week. Great amp at a decent price.

Richer sounds will do a 5yr warranty for 10% of the purchase price, If you never claim at the end of the warranty period you get a full refund of the warranty cost.

I'd rather pay the 90p and not have to worry about the redemption issue in 6 years time. Hats off to anyone who's this organised!

True, but you also have to think, "What if you do claim?" If you claim for a repair within 5 years for example, this would cost you less. However with Richer you do get another year as well. I guess it is all down to the individual really, I can see why both deals are better than each other in their own ways.
We got our recent AV amp from Peter Tyson. Another bonus is that they will give you a trade in on your old AV amp - ew got a decent price and they collected it using the delivery courier.

Recommended retailer as far as I am concerned.

How do you find out what part exchange they'll give for your old one and does it matter if you don't have the box?
Very nice look at Sony and Onkyo too
I have this amp to replace my Onkyo 509 so I can get 4k pass through and it is a cracking amp. Great deal and it is what I paid for it at Easter when Richer had the deal on.

I am interested in the Part Exchange too (and I have the box). Can't see any mention of this on their website?
How do I go about finding out about it?
Richer sounds will also give a loan amp if yours needs repairing but this deal is still hot for a great amp with this length warranty

Ring them.
I've currently got a Sony blu ray 5.1 system that has Sony propriety connectors. Can I snip these and solder new connectors on for this amp or am I better off buying new speakers as well? Main reason for asking is because all the wiring is hidden and really CBA to pull it all out and start again 😔

This is what I have:

Yes you can.
Bit of advice: its much easier to use the wire clamps rather than banana plugs.
Who's Peter Tyson? Is he a random guy with an unmarked white van that i have to hunt down to get this from??

The amp plugs into the TV via HDMI - Make sure you plug it into a HDMI ARC socket (Audio Return Channel) and it will then pass through the sound from the TV.

It's an LG OLED. It passes audio via HDMI even when watching freeview or youtube via the built in TV app?

Is this model an upgrade to x2400
Just to confirm, Peter Tyson will not accept trade ins on this offer, despite what their website says at the bottom via the 'part exchange' link. Apparently they only do it if the 'margins' on a product suit them.....
