Denon AVR-X2400H AV Receiver with Q Acoustics 3000 Cinema Speaker System - £769.90 @ Peter Tyson

Found 12th Oct
Pretty cheap price for this bundle.

£319.90 for the Denon AVR-X2400H amp
~£500 for the Q Acoustics 3000 speakers

Total around £819.90 so this bundle comes to £50 less.

But it also includes speaker and subwoofer cable too.

So a bit of saving there

Edit: Price now £799.95 so about £20 saving now, but still comes with cable.

Then this is a very good deal (already voted hot)

I wonder how much better the 3000s are compared to my current 1000s

i just looking at the amp at about 300, looks fantastic, but where to find 300 😁
Not Dolby atmos though, probably worth getting an atmos set if spending this kind of money.
You can always add a couple more speakers to make it atmos The AV Receiver supports it. I have two 3010s as height speakers to give me atmos. Would cost you an extra £100 or so to do and it would sound better than up firing "bounce of your ceiling" speakers (but you could add them instead if you really wanted).

The amp is Atmos capable but you'd need to buy a few extra speakers on top of this bundle to have an Atmos set-up.

Good call, I did not spot that.
A lot of the time they tend to advertise the atmos in the main description.
Description says latest model but the newer model is the x2500
The pictures show the black speakers but this deal is for the walnut version:

I have these speakers and they are absolutely incredible for the price. If you’re in need of a speaker system you could do a lot worse than Q Acoustics.

Not got Atmos/ceiling/height speakers?, the X2400h also has DTS Virtual X upmixing, which upmixes up to 4 virtual overhead speakers.

Very easy to try out and is worth testing even if you have Dolby Atmos upfiring speakers, as you may be surprised how well it works.

For DTS Virtual X you need:
Latest firmware
Not have ceiling/height or atmos speakers enabled (under setup/speakers/manualsetup/amp assign)
For Dolby audio streams, set your source device to output 5.1 PCM over HDMI then the Virtual X option will appear as Dolby prevent competitor (DTS/Auro) upmixing on Dolby Streams, DTS streams upmix fine without the PCM setting. On the X2400H you can't have Audyssey and Virtual X running together at the same time.

Yeah aha.
Usually sit on the sofa directly opposite though.
Has the price increased as this is showing up at £799.95 to me. I'm tempted by the package with the 3050 floorstanders for £979.

Personally wouldn't go for this deal, for this money you could go mid range instead of basic & get a 3400 and 2 very good floor speakers and rears if you're savvy. The level up from this model is well worth it if you like music.
Price seems to have gone up now so this deal needs updating or expiring.

@danielallard86 - nice setup. can you tell me where you got the tv bench from and what it's called please?
@Jay_Rock Yes it's called a Daniel allard tv stand I made it it's high glass lacquer with metal flake

Any recommendations for a 5.0 set of speakers for less than £250? I have a sub and A/V receiver but need new speakers. Current ones aren't good enough anymore.
Have this amp with q acoustics 2050i floorstanders and 2020i surrounds and I can confirm it's a brilliant amp.

I can confirm I have had this amp for a year and it's Atmos capable. I'm running it on 7.1 set up, but it plays DTS:X and Atmos.
Good deal but I need a bigger TV first

It's not too bad, I just lean it forward, to be honest though it's very very rarely docked, I charge it with a portable battery.
I've got this exact set up, it's a nice little system. Probably in reality I wish had invested more in fronts, center and sub, then cheaper rears as I don't think they matter as much. Overall a great system, the sub the weakest link, it's not a great sub.
I'm running these speakers at the moment. They are brilliant. I also installed 2 Q Acoustic Qi65C ceiling speakers as well to give me Atmos which is just insanely cool.
The rain effects on the Dolby Atmos Demo disc played on a loop is really relaxing. It's like you're laying in a rainforest
