It's amazing that they don't add a simple daughterboard for DAB+ or
even just the old DAB.

Yes, I know that it's pretty much the UK that use DAB, and that other areas use other standards (USA uses satellite radio for example).

So, why not include a built-in internet streaming option, at least? And again, "Yes, I know" that Alexa et alia could be connected to this AMP ... But I don't want anything like that in my house.

Get the 6 year warranty. It's a must IMO. Nice price though.

And refunded (by store credit), if unused at end of term.

Got one of these a little while ago to replace an Onkyo 626. Good bit of kit for the money, but for music I preferred the Onkyo. With warranty, great starter amp. I should have known better than to buy that unheard of brand in the first instance? :-) I’m sure the Denon was £349 though...
What’s everyone’s thoughts on this vs Sony 1080? Tempted to buy this model.

I bought this last Saturday for £374, in their flash sale. Still haven’t had a chance to use it as waiting for those Harman speakers to arrive . Decent price.

I’m using this with the Harman’s you’re waiting on and I’m more than happy with both. You won’t be disappointed.
Does what hi-fi ever rate anything less than 5*

Unless its bundled as part of a price match.

Unless its bundled as part of a price match.

So, if they match, do they add the warranty on top as a freebee?
Only if they are matching a store offering an extended warranty.
Then I'd only price match the unit, and pay separately for the extended warranty and maybe get QuidCo etc 9n both lol

A good deal.
This will be £299 in a few months for those that aren't in a hurry. This happens every year prior to the next range being released. In past years new model has been almost identical to the previous model in both features and looks.

They don't normally bother with DAB since more stations are avaliable via internet radio at a similar bitrate, normally 128-160Kbs

It does. The heos app streams internet radio. Tidal. Spotify or any other source. Or use the bluetooth to stream
Hardly a bargain
I'd get this just for asking so much off

Denon are delaying their 2019 range for the HDMI 2.1 to be ratified so these won’t drop as quickly as you think.

When do you think they’ll be reduced to £299, roughly? I quite fancy one of these but think I’d feel a bit guilty spending this much currently haha!

What do you think the 3500 would come down to price-wise? Probably a bit overkill for me but maybe a good investment to last me a few years...

I'd hope low 400s but probably a bit more as a lot of people will be waiting for them to drop, will likely keep about a 200 increase on where the 2500 ends up.

If you're running satellites the 2500 is probably plenty, 'proper' speakers should let the 3500 shine.
Great Amp/Receiver I purchased the Sony 1080, had issues with it switching my tv back on during the night (not great of you own a OLED) so returned it to RS and bought the Denon, so glad I did, warmer sound in my opinion..Incredible price.
Mmm Denon.
After a 9.2 channel amp but they just won't drop in price

Should have bought a Sony. They're the guys that make Sonos.

That’s incorrect, it does indeed support Dolby Vision

Yeah I had the same issue with my Sony 1060 and no HDR support, I like the sound of the Denon much better
What's so good about this model? What speakers do people recommend with this?
A WHILE
I find their Heos system a bit rubbish. very unreliable and the app is just atrocious.

Then why doesn't it mention it?
