I am unable to find information about the price of the AVR-X3200 last year in May-June period. I want to buy the AVR-X3300, but I wonder if the price can go below 499 with this year models just around the corner.
I'm all over this!!

Zensor 5.1 worth a look as well. A bit pricier though.

The old Q series by KEF is a very good option too - with up to 50% discount @PeterTyson

Last week I bought a pair of Q500 - great speakers. You can have a look at the packs also offered at discounted price.

Its not an Onkyo thread.....rules are rules...
Denon and Marantz are doing some cracking deals!

For a bit more-

The Marantz SR6011 is the equivalent of a Denon 4200 and it's only £570-650 depending on where you go. It's a real bargain receiver that provides features that weren't ever available in the sub £1,250 market before:

Audyssey XT32 Multi EQ including multiple Sub EQ. You can run it from an App (£20) which gives you a similar level of functionality as the previous "pro kit" that cost £450 alone.

Full 11.2 processing for 7.2.4 atmos with the addition of an external app (5.1.4 without external amp). No other brand provides 11.2 channels of processing at this price point. Onkyo charge £>1.5k.

2 HDMI Outputs

Full 11.2 pre outs for external amps. Useful because it means you can beef up your SR6011 with an external amplifier - like your old receiver to improve sound in loud scenes.

7.1ch analogue inputs - means once you (inevitably!) upgrade you can use the SR6011 as an external power amp.

I got mine from Peter Tyson last week and have been amazed at how well the Auddssey has sorted out my SVS Sub. It corrected the room issues which resulted in boomy bass to a much more flat response. I'd never bothered with room correction before and I still believe it's a waste for the higher frequency but it definitely helps with bass and it's never been easier.

I saw Batman vs Superman UHD and it's the first time I could feel and hear the bass (SVS Ultra 13 sub, does 100db down to 16hz) but without it being boomy or rattling the kitchen crockery and doors.
