Great price. Paid 359 for this on BF. Very able bit of kit.
Good price and gets very good online reviews - heat from me.

Thanks for sharing @pavel76
Sorry for not being the smartest here. Got a TV and separate sound bar. When playing 7.1 atmos. It either plays the audio with no picture or the picture with no audio. I think the TV and soundbar both don't support atmos. So no point getting this? Nvidia shield would be HDMI into this so that would be 7.1 atmos. But since sound bar and TV doesn't support. No point?

You wouldn't buy this for a soundbar
Can anyone advise: is HDR passthrough a standard on amps these days?

I have an old vsx-529 which I assume won't do it, although 4k will go through apparently.

I think so. My AVRX2300 does so I assume the 2400 does too.

I don't really understand the meme, but I think it's something to do with Onkyo and sofas?
You can also get 10% cash back on any Heos enabled Denon from a current Denon promotion (which this amplifier is) until February 28th. You have 90 days after purchase to claim the cash back.

Ignore this, as nige182 has correctly pointed out, it is 10% off any further purchase.

I think you misread the promotion (or are not clear in what you are suggesting), it looks to me that you have 90 days from buying the receiver to purchase another HEOS device from a set list, then you can claim 10% cashback on the later purchase, not the receiver purchase.

Its not easy sadly. For now I'm using a separate HDMI cable into another HDMI input on my TV, switch over the PS4 to this HDMI cable when playing VR, switch back to the normal HDMI cable from PS4 > AVR > TV when playing normal PS4 games...

I think an optical cable might be a cheaper solution

I've just got a female to female HDMI connector that I just unplug from VR Box and join two cables together when not using the VR kit. Totally rubbish way of doing it I know but simplest option for me.
