HEOS built-in - for the finest multi-room audio
HEOS multi-room music systems connect together by dual-band Wi-Fi, making them easy to set up with your existing home network. Up to 32 HEOS units can be set up at one time, ensuring even the largest of homes are covered for multi-room music. With HEOS already built-in, the AVRX2400H is ready to go as a single ‘zone’ without any further adaptors!

Control it all with the HEOS app
Once you’ve set up your HEOS speaker system, you can stream music effortlessly via the dedicated HEOS app. Available for Apple iOS and Android, the app not only lets you stream your stored music but also Internet radio services and popular streaming services such as Spotify, Tidal, Napster and Deezer.

A sound upgrade
With 95 watts per channel, the AVR-X2400H is nearly 20% more powerful than the 1400 model. This makes it a better choice for using in larger rooms or with less efficient speakers. It’s not just more powerful, it’s better-sounding, too. Pure Direct circuitry and high grade audio components mark the AVRX2400H out as a discerning choice for music lovers, as it sounds more precise and life-like.

Immerse yourself in sound, with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X
Dolby Atmos uses ceiling or upwards firing speakers to produce a multi-dimensional, immersive sound that's a match for the finest cinemas. DTS:X literally pushes the boundaries of what you can expect from home cinema. This highly sophisticated processor renders images in three dimensions that conventional processing can't match. It also offers other advantages such as the ability to boost the spatial effect of conventional DTS and easily adapts with your existing speaker configuration.

Optimised for 4K UHD and HDR
The AVRX2400H supports HDCP 2.2, HDR and BT.2020 via HDMI, which means you can play UHD Blu-ray discs and stream UltraHD video. It's also equipped with UHD 4K upscaling, giving you the most detailed picture on your 4K TV from all sources. The HDMI sockets allow 4K pass-through, for hassle-free switching and viewing without the receiver needing to be turned on.

High-Resolution audio compatible
As well as offering an intense movie experience, the Denon AVR-X2400H is also compatible with High-Resolution Audio. This offers a sound that's far more natural sounding than standard audio. The Denon AVRX2400H supports a wide range of Hi-Res format files including DSD (2.8/5.6MHz), FLAC, ALAC and WAV. It even supports gapless playback for music free from glitches.

Bluetooth, AirPlay, DLNA and built-in wi-fi for the complete networking experience
With both Bluetooth and AirPlay connectivity it's easy to connect up all your smartphones, tablets and compatible lap/desktops and stream music wirelessly. The AVRX2400H also comes with Wi-Fi, Internet radio and DLNA. Simply connect to your home network via Ethernet or Wi-Fi and access thousands of Internet radio sites via vTuner as well as subscription services such as Spotify Connect. DLNA compatibility lets you stream from other sources such as your laptop or NAS drive.

Comprehensive connections
With no fewer than eight HDMI inputs (including one at the front), the AVRX2400H has all your connection needs covered. The AVR-X2400H comes with twin HDMI outputs - ideal for running both a TV and projector, for example. With its handy USB input at the front, you can connect up your media device and playback digital media files. If you don’t require an Atmos or 7-channel output, you can instead assign the speaker outputs to another set of speakers – perfect for quality music in a second room. The second speaker output even lets you choose a different input source, for complete versatility. For added flexibility, the AVRX2400H also features a passive Zone 2 output – ideal for adding active speakers in another room.

Easy to use with Quick Select
With four Quick Select Function buttons you can access not just a regular source quickly but also all its dedicated settings - at the touch of a single button. You can even add your favourite Internet radio station for rapid access to radio.

Audyssey MultEQ XT for simple room set-up
Featuring Audyssey's MultEQ XT technology, the AVRX2400H adapts itself to your room’s acoustics. The XT version of this automatic measuring and set-up device features extra modes and offers the option to measure from eight points for super-accurate room measuring. If you want to take this even further, purchase the MultEQ Editor App (at additional cost) and you’ll access to advanced user settings.

Combine your home cinema and multi-room streaming music in one, with the all-talented Denon AVRX2400H.

Very nice indeed
Excellent starter amp 5 STAR What Hi-Fi - tested at £500 but normal price now seems to be £349 according to Google

Heat added for great amp at a decent price though
Amazing amount just upgraded from my old Yamaha rx673 which was no slouch - the Sound processing on this amp is really impressive, and Dolby Atmos is the dogs.....I got for £350 from Peter Tyson.
mmmm... Denon!

I've got the 2200. Lovely piece of kit. Have some heat.
Best price ive seen! Have some heat! Can anyone recommend some decent speakers to go with this? <£300
Note to lack of 'likes' on sofa comments, I think the joke has finally run it's course
any good offers on the Sony STRDN1080? That's the one to beat! Would rather spend a bit more for something that has so much better reviews...
Can't seem to make the homecinema5 voucher work on the sony
I'm with camelion... but not sure how much better the sony is.
Great price, I’m still amazed why they have a dot matrix display ! (No hot price)
Does this have Dolby Vision and HLG support?

Edit - from the spec page it suggests it cannot do above 30Hz at 4K so no good for PC gaming either? Only the 3400 does 60Hz?

Couldn't find for less than £500 so I don't think the Denon is £200 worse....although bound to be a deal for 1080 if hang around.

It seems it has Dolby Vision and HLG is coming in an update. I have the entry level X540 and it passes through 4K HDR at 60hz from my PC and consoles so this must do too.

thought it was a music player sorry
Had this beauty since last October and this is a great price. Just be aware it gets ridiculously hot after a few hours use so keep it well ventilated.

Bump.

I paired it with the Dali Zensor 5 Speaker Package and E12 subwoofer and they blew me away with the quality!
