You’re better off with Bush or Goodmans
£439 was the cheapest it's ever been but that was only for a day with ebay discount code so not really a straight comparison.

Don't know how much lower they'll go, depends on stock I guess, but it's well worth £479.
Have some heat as I think this is an amazing deal and I'm close to pulling the trigger on this over the Sony. The new x3600H is due to be released next month mind so they could be clearing old stock.

I have this amp and it’s fantastic. But it may drop lower as they’ve just announced the AVRX-3600 in the last couple of days.
I bought this a month ago, when it was £550 in Richersounds. Luckily they price matched it and beat the price by £20, so go it for this price.

Great receiver, this has been voted best receiver for 2 years running. I think it original price was around £1000.
Isn't the 3600 selling for £999?
I'm so tempted by this deal. Damn you OP for tempting me.

Have some heat.
Nice sofa
I'm also so tempted by this.
I was bidding on a used one on eBay this week but it sold for more than this!

For those that have one already, the main reason I want it is for the separate HDMI outs. Is it easy to change the output for each HDMI source?
On my Sony STR DN1050, if I want to change the HDMI output of the zone 2 I have to turn it on, go into the settings and change it in there.

Any other recommended AV Receivers with HDMI Zone 2 outputs?

Thanks a lot

That's what they've been doing for the last several months, same pattern every year. From memory the 3400 didn't get much below £500 in it's run out so depends how brave you're feeling. The 3600 won't sell at all at it's launch price as that's the same as where the better 4500 already is which is not being replaced this year, so reckon the 3600 will be £750ish within days of release.

The Sony is comparable to the x2500h so should be an easy choice as the 3500 is much better across the board. The Denon is also relatively bug free which can't be said for the Sony.

Only issue I've had with mine is the sound quality using the built-in Spotify Connect is worse than through something third party like a Chromecast, Apple TV, Shield etc into the same receiver. This seems to be a common complaint with all the mainstream receivers though, not just Denon, and may or may not be noticable to you depending on what speakers you have attached ...or the quality of your hearing

Easy peasy, on the remote there is a zone 1 and zone 2 button, press either and they act like you have two receivers with one remote including powering them on and off.

OK perfect, thank you!
I'm not sure whey they made it so difficult on my Sony.
Cracking deal! I've got one and it's great.

Cousin has one and there’s a button for zone 2, press that and can go through your inputs! Works a treat.

I've read this a few times. I have been disappointed with the music performance of mine running through my Q Acoustics 3050 fronts and realised the only source I have used has been Spotify. I'll have to invest in a Chromecast Audio as that could well be the issue. Don't have a spare plug and the AVR's USB is powering fans in my cabinet so I will have to pick up a 10 gang extension as well!

What fans do you have? I was gonna do something with some spare 120mm case fans I had, but not sure what sort of converter I'd need.

I have one of these on the side of an Ikea Besta housing the AVR, exhausting heat, and one on the other side blowing air into the intake of a PS4 Pro:

Quiet enough on lowest setting and keeps the AVR cool enough. I wanted AC Infinity fans but they were stupidly expensive to import from the USA. Toddler running around so everything is locked behind doors! Holes cut in the back too behind the AVR so air can be drawn though and the same behind the PS4 for it to blow heat out of the cabinet.

I used one of these too so it looks tidy coming out of the front and run under my Denon:

Tidied up the outside with some fan grills.

Just take the back off! No cabling issues either then

Yep, fell for that myself. I bought some Kef R300s which sounded great with my old Sony AVR and was expecting at least as good, hopefully better, with the 3500. Not the result I got at all, no detail and a collapsed soundstage, thought I'd made a major mistake. Only thing different on the old system was using an old Chromecast, the original video one not an Audio, so gave that a go with the Denon and my speakers came back to life.

Would also say I gave Tidal Hifi a go, again through the Chromecast, and that is another big step up depending on the recording. Makes Spotify sound very flat in comparison, would've thought your 3050 are good enough to pick it up so take a free trial and give it a go, not much difference in price between Philippines Spotify Family and Turkish Tidal Hifi

I have a Betsa unit too, and I've left the middle panel off on the back, but it has a glass front, which is warm to the touch in use. Looks like I'm unhooking it all at weekend and doing a bit of DIY.

Have a regular Chromecast in the bedroom I could try first actually. Might save me a fortune over the other route I was contemplating - replacement!

Yea mine has glass doors too. Keeps the dust away as well as the toddler but didn't want my stuff dying early with heat. Easy enough as the middle of a Besta is just cardboard. I have a glass top so I put it on the side. I used a 120mm hole saw on my drill but it would be easy cut with a keyhole saw if you draw around a CD.

bought, not a mindblowing price in terms of a deal, (peter tyson is the same price) but I was going to spend nearly double on the RX-A1080.

This is replacing a nearly decade old RX-V1067 - i'm sorry to see it go it's been a fine amp... wonderful for music actually but need more current hdmi
