Interesting isn't it - I think its the worst mouth wash out there! Don't feel any benefit from using it where as listerine feels like its done something!

I agree, i prefer a mouthwash that stings a bit, is that wrong?

This is a good deal though and have added heat.

I prefer this one as it's alcohol free, ones containing alcohol like listerine give me a dry mouth making it feel even worse.

Agreed also.

This stuff seems to only colour debris, making it stand out when spat out. Doesnt actually seem to do any cleaning.

If you rinsed you mouth out with water youd still spit bits out - they just wouldnt be coloured.

The ones ive tried dont leave you with clean breath either - you end up with a mouth of either clove (why oh why??), cherry (better, but not really that cherry like) or cool mint (not tried).

Until any scientific truths are revealed about this stuff actually doing anything other than 'colouring in', ill not be buying again.

OK - time for a little brutal honesty.

3 or 4 years ago I acquired some bad breath - never suffered from it before (now in my 40's) and no mouthrinse seemed to make any difference until I discovered this one - the advantages are, I believe, it being non-alcoholic (which also reduces the risk of mouth cancer) and having an ingredient to prevent so-called 'volatile sulphur compounds' which actually cause bad breath - most mouthrinses don't include this and its this that makes it more expensive than other types (including the 'basic' version of this product that is advertised on the TV) - imho the 'evidence in the sink' is just a gimmick that should'nt detract from the overall product - its never on BOGOF so I would hoover this deal up (I already have!).

No connection to the company btw.

My GF's dentist, when asked, recommended the Dentyl stuff over anything else available in the supermarkets? I havent had a second opinion from my own person yet (appointment coming soon Had best save up ) but I would gladly accept her opinion as gospel for now

The hydrophobic (aliphatic) nature of one of the solvents in this mouthwash means that it will dissolve and wash out stuff that water/alcohol based ones won't. One for the chemists.

It's perfumed, but the base solvents smell like petroleum products. Works pretty well. Looks fun. Two layers!

Should just add that my comment was regarding the normally £3.85 version of Dentyl PH (also on bogof) - the normal £2.84 version did not solve my aforementioned problem...

Yep, the more expensive cherry one seems to work better.

Thanks for this, the Icy Fresh one is what I usually use so I'll fill my boots during my weekly shop tomorrow

Not all £2.84 2 new fav are £3.85 but both bogof

Clove? I mean, come on, WTF!

Damn, I didn't realise there was a cheaper and a more expensive version. I was under the impression that there were three different flavours, all of which can be purchased at the same price. By using the cheaper ones, does one run a greater risk of developing mouth cancer?

I've checked the website and the range of Dentyl is all alcohol free, so doesnt matter what one you buy.
