Celeron J3455

Welcome to performance levels not seen since before Windows Vista came out.

CPU look like the Pentium N3450 but with less OTT throttling.
Confusing.

Price is good but I need more than 4 hours battery life (Heat though)

You have clearly never tried one then.

The processor benchmark isn't that bad. Along with 4GB and the SSD, it should be fine for surfing and streaming. Not voting as I don't think it's either hot or cold. Thanks for the find though reddit

J3455 has the edge on the N3450 but with a 10W TDP, vs 6W for the N3450

Sorry, I'm I reading this right? A dere air notebook.

Intels TDP is mainly via throttling so as I said, less throttling

Why would you ever buy a relatively expensive item from China ? No EU warranty , Import fees +VAT , and about £80 and restocking fee to return . Beats me (considering the number of moans on here every day ) why HUKD allow these so called "deals" to be posted .

I can only assume its because Gearbest and other Chinese sellers pay their referral fees . Very disappointed in HUKD - Not a members site anymore - just a profit machine

If someone needs a fairly decent performing laptop with a full HD screen, and wants to pay around £200.00, they have two options - buy something like this or buy something used (and quite old). You're not going to get a warranty with either.

I picked up the Jumper EZBook 3 Pro v4 from Gearbest and it is really excellent.

Saying that, this looks like it has a TN screen, so not for me.

lol, unlikely to get anything else for that type of machine, or for that price.

As for the cpu being enough to surf the web; just barely,if you are planning to be running av and a firewall as well.

Well the Jumper has a lovely IPS panel, and that was well under £200

I've got no problems with this cpu for browsing, streaming video, TeamViewer etc. It's way more powerful than the processors in most Chromebooks! Passmark scored the CPU at 2161 which really isn't that bad. This one should be comparable.

£220 spend at Gearbest.....good luck with that and basically throwaway any warranty paperwork they give you. Braver than I am...

Yes but this is running Win10...a chromebook is running a cut down Linux OS and a Browser....

2161 is basically a quarter of what my 2008 cpu scores on the same test, and it is starting to struggle with anything beyond browsing and a few older games.

As for the Jumper, I have never heard of it, if it really has an IPS panel then kudos to the makers; although I am not sure how they managed it, unless it was old screen stock being sold off cheap.
You do get this with some smaller Chinese firms, they find 10,000 of something being sold off cheap, so make 10,000 devices using it - so no spares and no follow-up model.

Well it's significantly faster than my Toshiba Chromebook 2 with full HD screen, both running the Chrome browser. And most Chromebooks use similar processors.

What processor did you have with an 8000 score in a laptop in 2008?! For £200?

Here's the thread: hotukdeals.com/dea…e=3

I use mine for most stuff (I don't have time to game, wish I did though!) including remoting into my desktop for Lightroom work (screen is great for this). Added a 128GB m.2 SSD for £35.

Remember this is fanless and doesn't get particularly hot. My wife's i5 Lenovo Yoga 2 gets very hot and is uncomfortable to use for serious work on the lap, so is similarly underclocked anyway.
