On closer inspection ...the quality looks a bit poor ....but hey it's only a fiver....!

Blimey it's bigger than I imagined :-D

more Maplin tat.
sorry, but Maplin do sell some very poor quality products these days.

Very misleading title and product description. it's not really a weather station. All it measures s is termperature and indoors humidity. All the weather I get happens out-doors! Voted cold.

plus delivery £2.99

I have a cheaper solution.

I wonder if people could use this in a greenhouse. As it appears it can use batteries

"Battery Requirement: SR44 x 2 (Code: FM28F) Included "

i don't get it, why does the photo shows a cable on the right hand side? i thought it works on battery???

I bought one in the run up to xmas for a fiver from Maplins instore. It tells you the temperature, but I am not sure if the humidity reading is accurate. As it is always reading about 20 lower than my dehumidifier with a humidity display. Mind you, it could be my dehumidifier giving a higher reading.

Hey its no complete weather station it uses batterys and doesnt lay eggs. But if just
looks good (in the flesh) for a fiver.

The 'cable' would be the lead to the external temperature sensor.
For a fiver, I doubt it has wireless external sensors....

I agree with the 'good for a greenhouse' idea actually. Makes a lot more sense (you'd want to know the humidity and temp inside, and the temp outside!).

Just need a greenhouse for a fiver.
Ooh, then somewhere to put it...

Think I'll get one for the greenhouse myself, to go with the potatoes and strawberries I seem to have ordered!

Goes well in my bedroom, although I am not sure what the humidity reading is for. But it hasn't said hot and steamy yet.

Works well, outdoor sensor has a sticky bit on it. Two minor annoyances, very hard to see readout unless on a white background, and it is unstable and easily knocked over.

Having said that, it does what it says on the tin. Hot.

The greenhouse seems like an excellent application.

Or you could just poke your head out of the door?
Less than a fiver!:-D

there is a little metal stick, does that just go in the back?
Can you remove the external sensor
(bought one, Hot)

At least we can have a good idea at what we are buying. It looks so cheap and appears to be "made in china"
