DESTINY 2 - £46.85 PS4/XB1 - Pre-order Standard Edition at Shopto

This is the best price across all platforms I have seen so far for Destiny 2.

I do realise that you may get a better price closer to the release date, however this is the best price at the moment- shopto are also competitive and offer price promise which will honour any price drops no matter when you pre-ordered the game.

From the makers of the acclaimed hit game Destiny, comes the much-anticipated sequel. An action shooter that takes you on an epic journey across the solar system.

Humanity's last safe city has fallen to an overwhelming invasion force, led by Ghaul, the imposing commander of the brutal Red Legion. He has stripped the city's Guardians of their power, and forced the survivors to flee. You will venture to mysterious, unexplored worlds of our solar system to discover an arsenal of weapons and devastating new combat abilities. To defeat the Red Legion and confront Ghaul, you must reunite humanity's scattered heroes, stand together, and fight back to reclaim our home.

HYPED.

I pre-ordered the collectors edition from Game and got the Cayde-6 figurine.
I got burned with Destiny, will wait until all DLC available on GOTY version rather than get shafted buying game several time just for DLC

ditto, but sadly activision will continuing with this practice as seems many that will happily, bend over and take it from them. so in one way you can't blame them because its easy money
Preorder a game that is a sequel to one of the biggest let downs in gaming history? Nah.
I had a lot of fun with the original Destiny, especially online but I found the level 20 cap (for levelling up with experience) extremely restrictive, and once you had hit the max level from experience it just became a glorified treasure hunt. Still fun but it takes away the consistent and regular reward for combat of actual experience and made for huge patches where you didn't find anything valuable and your character doesn't develop....

Lol first for one of the biggest let down it still has millions playing today. Not many games can say that so your wrong.
Second this site's for deals not for gaming discussion and your opinions on them. If you any to chat about your hate for a game goto IGN or something. In fact if your not even interested why bother posting. Stop trolling.
Joining the 'no more pre-ordering of games of which we know little' camp.
Destiny was a decent FPS but failed as an RPG, and I wanted more of the latter. Will wait this time and see how this turns out.

LOL Oooh! Touched a nerve? For me the game was a total let down. I'm not talking about the millions of other people. And FYI I can post what I want, where I want and there is sweet FA you can do about it. So go whinge somewhere else.

Touché
Aren't we supposed to vote on the deal and not if we like the game or not?
Sorry OP have to vote cold as this is not a good price for a pre-order game, RRP is likely to be £49.99 for physical copy and usually around £40 on release even though shopto claim RRP to be £59.99! Since we are 5 months before release I will be very surprised if a better price doesn't come up before then which is closer to the £40 mark. I personally don't like destiny but to make it clear I am voting cold due to the price not because I dislike the game

Tbf, I bought the taken king edition and Rise of Iron for a total of around £45.00

I've spent almost 700 hours on it, in terms of value for money its incredible.

Kind of.

But imagine they brought out Legends Of SwordCoast 2... with an RRP of £50 and Amazon were doing it for £30.

Great "Deal". But if someone chipped in and said SwordCoast 1 was a let down, the developers stopped developing and the business went bust (albeit slim chance of them releasing a sequel then!) but that sort of thing.

This isnt a "Deal" in my eyes, because I bought Destiny (1) for £40ish at release, then £20-30 per DLC, then they pantsed us all by bringing them out all together (or as doubles first).

So paying this much for Standard Edition is just asking to be paying £100+ for the full game.

So its not just RRP vs Price in my opinion.

Quite. I just spent 89 quid on the collectors edition pre-order (2x expansion pass included), and I have absolutely no issue doing so because I know im going to get more than my money's worth in gaming hours.
So this is a continuation of the story yet yoy lose all your hard earned items?

I'll be honest, I played destiny from release and bought all the add ons.

However the way they kept increasing the damage value of guns and the light cap annoyed me, most of your hard earned equipment got left behind, ie fatebringer.

I thought this time I'll be sensible and wait but I'm not sure as its the type of game you need to keep up with.

If I waited for all the dlcs to come out, isn't there a chance the quest rewards from missions and raids would be obsolete compared to the latest?

Something to consider I guess.

Why would you pay £40/£50 for a game and take all your hard earned loot across?? That would be like trying to play Destiny 1 within Destiny 2, pay for something new = play something new.

I enjoyed destiny from day one. I just want to play the game - not one for posters, steel cases or figures.
Just pre-ordered from Game Seek for £39.75 on PS4
Will wait for cheap PSN credit and get the expansions.

Isn't it basically just another dlc? so yes, all those weapons I leveled or put hours in to aquire I would like to use.

Probably because there is literally no point in pre-ordering the standard version of a game and closer to launch this will be cheaper. Cheapest now does not always equal a good deal to me, especially when there are 5 months to go.

No its a new game built on a modern game engine that not restricted by the legacy consoles like the first was. Plus on a story point, if you watch the trailer, the tower is gone, so all your stuff has been destroyed as well, hense you start from scratch.

Why would you get a loot advantage in D2 over someone who has never played Destiny 1? Name me another game where your progression carries to the next chapter? BF? COD? Splinter Cell? Halo? No. Wishful thinking.

Wouldn't be much of an advantage if the new weapons are base damage of maxed old weapons? its a direct continuation so was under the assumption this was another big add on like ttk.

Anyone with common sense could see NMS was going to be an awful game a mile away.
