Are they gonna be 25 each again to buy when they come out ?

I thought expansions were going to be free when I bought Destiny 2. I wouldn't mind paying for expansions if there was enough content, but Destiny 2 has proven to be awfully small. Two weeks and I was done with it. Expansion will likely give another week or two. Just don't think it's worth it.

The power system is fake, you don't actually get stronger as you power up, bar certain levels that you hit where your damage does become appropriate to take on certain content.

So you can't gear up and enjoy blasting through stuff, it's so artificial and odd feeling.

Weighing up selling the D2 box or maybe keeping it in case a year later the game does become a world worth putting time into. From what I hear D1 seemed more fun.

Worst part is the matchmaking. Holy mother of God. I hate it. Have to add someone as a friend or some balls in PS4 and then invite and add to fire team.. I mean Jesus H Christ. Worst crap ever.

I'm used to slick team building from PC MMOs, so coming to this on the PS4 has been a real wakeup call. Hopefully PC players have an easier time of it.

cold just for destiny 2 ripping off the consumer , taking bits out the game to sell as DLC is scandalous .

Erm how do you know that these aren't still being worked on and were never taken out of the game? They were certainly part of the road map, but were never intended to be there on release. Else surely every game with a season pass is ripping people off according to you?

There was always going to be dlc for destiny 2.

erm maybe because DLC used to be an after thought usually a year later not pre built and released months after release.
if you believe dlc isn't snipped from all AAA games these days more fool you .
and yes season passes are just as bad

I'd suggest that if you ditched the game after 2 weeks, then you haven't sampled anywhere near all of the content.

It's fine to not like a game and not continue to play it, but to blame the lack of content when you haven't seen a lot of the content is a bit unfair.

Post your username and I'll look up exactly what you haven't played in the game.

I see where you're coming from, but games haven't increased in cost in line with how much goes into them nowadays. Think about how much time and resources it took to put together a game like Goldeneye on the N64 vs Battlefield 1 today.

With inflation taken into account, there's barely any price difference between them.

There is a complete lack of content and 2 weeks was more than enough to get through all of it. I'm max light on all three characters beaten raid and nightfall on both difficulties, all missions, flawless, did jump on for iron banner and faction-- travesty of a reward system. The game was stripped of content, both from this game and the quality of life things that should have carried over.

No that's a poor characterisation.

I'm a casual, but I got to do everything. There's only around 4 hours of content per week after you hit max light.

I did of course pop in and play beyond week two, but it's just repeating stuff. Haven't picked it up in weeks now as I have nothing to work towards and got bored of it.

That is not unusual. What is unusual is that you think it's such an outrageous statement that you're asking for a username so you can police it like some oddball.

Think we need to question how in touch you are with this game.

Really, which system do you play on and what's your username?

I ask because I'm cynical that anyone can get through all the content in two weeks, even if you play every waking hour.

I'm not sure it's even possible to get a character to 305 in two weeks due to the loot system limiting drops above 295 (w/ mod). You must have been exceptionally lucky to get 3 characters to that level in that time!

Well, I'm just cynical of anyone who claims there's only two weeks of content, especially when they claim to be a causal.

Have you completed all the exotic quests, for example? I find it highly unlikely that any casual can go from the start to completing a Nightfall with 5 minutes remaining on the clock in two weeks. That is hardcore gamer territory.

Of course, you can instantly prove that I'm talking out of my derriere, just post your username and system...

No, not cynical, just a bit out of touch and, odd.

Yes, cynical.

What is odd is a lot of people (see the Reddit forum for example) making exaggerated claims about the lack of content in a game, when I know for a fact that there is more than two weeks content in the game.

Funnily enough, when you actually press people to back up their claims, they refuse or try to, only to be shown to have either (1) spent a hell of a lot more time in the game than they original claimed or (2) not completed anywhere near al the content.

Which one are you?

All these people moaning there isn't enough content in destiny 2, wasn't it exactly the same in the first? And yet you still bought the second and are moaning about it? C'mon guys.

There was actually less content in Y1 D1, but like the exaggerated "lack of content" claims, it seems fashionable to criticise D2 unfairly for that too.

Don't get me wrong, D2 is far from perfect, but it isn't lacking in content. In fact, this article pretty much sums up my feelings on it:

So, quick bit of maths, you say you are a casual gamer and got to do everything within 2 weeks.

Here's how the D2 content breaks down:

Campaign (6 hours if you rush it)
Grind to 280 to open raid (Lost sectors, Cayde chests, flashpoint, public event, patrols, say 4 hours if you're extremely lucky and efficient)
Nightfall (0.5 hours if you beat it first time)
Prestige Nightfall (0.5 hours if you beat it first time)
Exotic quests x 4 (total 4 hours)
Raid (say 4 hours for a highly competent set of noobs first time through, including key chests)
Prestige Raid (say a very generous 6 hours first time through etc)
Crucible public & competitive few games (2 hours)
Trials card 7 games (2 hours)
4 remaining strikes not in the nightfall (2 hours)

That's 31 hours in two weeks, or two and a quarter hours every single day, without repeating any content at all. And that is the absolute minimum you could do it, I would say most people will send much more time than that, especially on the raid and prestige raid.

So, either way, you're lying: either you haven't done everything or you're not a casual. Which is it?
