Small price drop probably to match Asda but makes it even more desirable with the expansion passes and steelbook included

I didn't fancy the expansions and sold my codes on ebay for £33 so ended up paying about a tenner for this version

Exactly, ps4 version has more content but half the price???

People on Xbone are used to higher prices and micro transactions so £80 is nothing to them.

Terrible game (was good until level 20). If you want a game where you play the same content over and over again, this is your game.

The season pass content is a joke. It's one thing to charge the price of a game for 2 pieces of DLC and if it was a different planet for each one fair enough. But u get another 10% worth of extra game time for 100% of the cost again....it's theft!

I love this game. The game still retails at £34, The DLC are £19 each. This is a saving of £43 I've buying all separate.

Whether u think its a bag game or not, you have to admit it's a bargain.

34+19+19 = £77

Exactly right. I bought this version and played it for about 40 hours. Sold the Expansion Passes and game separately and made almost £20 profit

Tempting, I could get the DLC for a reasonable price if I sold the game separately.

I think this is a great game. Perhaps if it had come out when I regularly gamed 2 or 3 hours a day I probably would be sitting in the "tiresome, repetitive, boring" camp but for the odd few hours I steal for gaming during a week, Destiny is a blast and I really enjoy it. £40 for this (what I paid over xmas after trading the base one back into Amazon) is a bargain for me. Compared to the latest CoD (which is mince), Destiny is so much more fun.

Thanks for posting, ordered and heat added

is this game any good?

Great price and the game is good (for a while). If your someone that likes to repeat the same thing over and over again then this is for you. If you get sick of doing the same thing then wait until cheaper. A lot cheaper. I got bored of it fast cos of all the grinding and lack of content but will wait to see if they ever do a GOTY edition (all dlc) and might just consider buying again as the dlc alone is a rip off and should have came with the game (it is on the disc after all locked from view and they charge 20 quid for it!!!)

It's a common misconception that the DLC was already on the disc. It wasn't, there was a 2GB patch the week before the DLC launched that must have included a lot of the DLC data.

Why no xbox one at this price!!!!

I was in King's Watch 2 months before the DLC.

Get 2 friends to also buy this and have the best next gen experience so far.

Congratulations!

Just because some of the areas were there, doesn't mean the DLC was on the disc.(_;)

I don't follow - the whole point of a game like Destiny is to do the same missions, over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and again?

Sounds amazing fun.

A patch doesn't always mean the size of it is what is added, good chance part of it is removed (the broken bit) and then fixed parts are put in. (take a look at GTA 5 when first released for PS4 there was a 2gb patch every week, no way was this new content but was them taking out broken bits and putting an chunk of fixed code) I very much think most of the DLC content for Destiny is on the disc

Got this last week. great game to play with mates. As for the grinding its par for the course with mmo's. As a wow veteran did not bother me in the slightest. recommend you have some mates to play with tho

You mean like racing games and CoD? How about when people play the same content "over and over again" in FIFA?

They were never meant to be part of a DLC, hence they were all shipped with the game. There are places which are accessible which are not in TDB. You keep thinking that these were added with the DLC.

Content wise, Destiny is absolutely terrible. Destiny, like most other MMOs is about grinding - only way to reach a higher level. Acquiring materials, gear, etc. As of present, the highest level is 32 and can only be achieved by doing the raid and praying to RNGesus that you get gear drop.

The game gets really boring so you definitely need to find a group to play with on a regular basis for it to be fun.

I think a lot of the hate for Destiny comes from the fact that they successfully marketed an MMO to people who don't like MMOs.

I don't enjoy MMOs so gave the trial version a go to see if this was any different. It's not and I'm glad I saved my money.

If already have friends playing this and could join in on their Raids, or if you are likely to go onto forums etc to join up with other players then I'd highly recommend Destiny. The 6 players Raids have been the most fun I've ever had playing coop. If you are just looking to play solo then I'd recommend something else, maybe Wolfenstein.

This is a good game, people are just exaggerating and following the trend to hate on this game.
Imo i liked this, wasn't too hyped up for it at beginning maybe people were hyped up too much

excellent deal

Destiny is no way an MMO, it has some MMO features but that's it - on the whole the game is far closer to a cross of Halo and Borderlands with a little less FPS than Halo and less rpg than Borderlands but very little of the main features that make up an MMO as there's no trading, no large player numbers (outside the hub six is generally the maximum), no crafting and barely any content.

The rather more obvious reasons for people hating the game is that it was hugely hyped and largely undelivered and for others the way Bungie/Activision have treated Bungie players. I think the Bungie base game is absolutely superb, they really nailed the gameplay which makes repeatedly doing the same levels over and over again surprisingly enjoyable particular with friends but only up to a point. I was looking forward to the new DLC as I'd had enough of the existing content but when I found they were charging £20 for mostly the same content, then they locked out content for existing non-DLC owners and made a complete mess of the new progression Polygon I'd had enough. I do hope they'll maybe do a U-turn and make more effort with the game rather screwing out as much money as possible for as little content but I'm not optimistic.

I think £39 is a great deal as it means you avoid a lot of the issues with the DLC progression starting from scratch and it means you can keep on playing without having to fork out £20 for the DLC, while I'm annoyed Destiny gets nowhere near realising its potential I did get a decent amount of hours out of the base game before the DLC came out and finished it.

I totally agree - Bungie (the developers) massively over-hyped and over-priced the game. It's not an MMO in any sense of the word, the multi-player is average and the solo/co-op mode has limited content.

The gameplai is terrific and addictive, however.

Nonsense, it's a perfect example. Any game in which a player attempts to hone their skill inevitably involves repetition and the replaying of existing content. PvE aside, Destiny also has a competitive player vs player mode. Playing CoD, Battlefield, Forza or FIFA over and over again is fundamentally no different to shooting people in the face online in Destiny, over and over again.

You can sell the season pass for around £32 and the limited edition codes on ebay for £15.

£47 - fees equals around £42. Means the game and the physical things are free.

Great deal! Heat!

I started playing it on my own and yes it was crap, but after playing with my friends every night or so doing raids and weekly nightfall and strikes it is definitely worth it.

Doing a 6 people raid with your friends can be the hardest most frustrating yet most amount of fun.

£36 for me using flubit, first time I put a request in, they said they couldnt beat the price so I just put another request through and it came back with a discount
