Destiny PS4 £40 using voucher code at Tesco

Found 12th Jun 2014
Using a pre order code to get £5 off select pre orders over £35, you can get Destiny for £40. Tesco are good for release date or before delivery, but take payment immediately and if you require a change of address then you have to cancel your order and re submit it, so get your address right!

You will also get 500 extra club card points, for those interested. Use the code TDX-PRGM

Tesco do have the Beta codes and will send them as emails or give them over the phone after proof of purchase!

Can you only use the code once?

This worked for me don't know why this is going cold?

Worked for me, why cold?

Don't know of any cheaper at the moment.

One thing worth noting is you might not get BETA access buying from Tesco, I believe this is the cheapest price I have seen but for £5-7 extra you get 2 weeks of BETA access in July with possible Alpha tests soon. If this has been changed ignore my post.

hmm not sure if I should cancel zavvi order which is few £ more but has beta......

No beta?

For PS4 you can sign up for alpha access and you /may/ be selected for it. Alternatively, I bought a beta key for 99p from eBay. Zavvi, apparently, aren't that prompt with delivery times for pre orders.

Quote from the Tesco website "THE DESTINY BETA

Be one of the first to blaze a trail through the wild frontiers of Destiny. Pre-order and receive access to the upcoming beta. Beta will be available in early 2014."

BUT....

destinythegame.com/uk/…eta Seems they only take it from Amazon, Game, Gamestop...???

Decided to give Tescos a call... I'll give you the info when they call back.

UPDATE: Yeah, Tesco do give the BETA codes. Because I had called up first, the woman on the phone was very helpful and called back first to confirm they did do the Beta codes, and then called back again after I had placed the order, and gave me my Beta code.

So I recommend signing up with Bungie destinythegame.com/uk/…eta after placing your order at Tesco, ready for the 9 digit code needed to redeem on the same site.

Have fun guys and girls!

there can be only one

Been playing Alpha, and I'm in love with this game. Very beautiful, extremely fun ! Well worth pre ordering

Ordered!

Thanks, managed to get it for £36 with code and voucher.

However, had a bit of mission getting the Beta code. After FinderOfDeals mentioned he spoke to someone about it i called Tesco about the code. The first 2 ladies I spoke to said the code would be emailed out at a later date. So I phoned back and spoke to a lad who knew what I wanted straight away and gave me a code over the phone.

Might be worth noting for anyone worrying about the beta that it doesn't start until mid next month and by getting your code now, you simply are confirmed for the beta via Bungie's website. You can't download the beta yet - they haven't even given out keys to redeem the beta on PSN yet.

With the code TDX-PRKW you can get £10 off your first online shop with Tesco, but it can't stack with other voucers. I added 2x 3M PS4 Charge cables since the're £3 each. Basically amounts to 2 spare USB cables for £1.

Been playing the alpha and enjoying it quite a lot. I'm not gonna pre order but depending on reviews I may pick this up once its below £30. Anyone else given it a go?

Used some Clubcard points so it was £35 in the end. Not bad for a PS4 game :P

Played the alpha. It's brilliant. But tesco take money on pre order right? Boooooooo

Heat added, just got it for £32 using £8 of savings i didn't know i had 2!

Or order from amazon get instant code for beta access then cancel amazon order, and order from tesco for the cheaper at the min price

Anyone watched the new gameplay footage? Looks boring to me not sure about it yet

HOT, the Alpha is fantastic, a must pre-order for me.

I played the Alpha for 2 hours and i was not impressed looks so outdated i don't know why.....i didn't like it at all...and i won't buy it I want Diablo and Fifa 15 for now..

Frame rate really hinders this game. Looks good though and fairly fun to play but 30fps really puts me off buying it.

Do you know what I find hilarious about people? The fact that Battlefield 4 to this day STILL doesn't run flawlessly, it got a Beta for crying out loud! Remember at last year's E3 when the guy had trouble getting the game to present itself on screen, technical glitch? No one saw that as a warning!? Yet millions are gonna hoard to the shops to buy Hardline.

The fact that this ALPHA works better than the full Battlefield 4 game ever has really shows how silly people can be with their money sometimes. Not attacking anyone in particular but if people like to spend their cash on buggy, unfinished games then go right ahead

Aside from the rant I'm really enjoying this ALPHA so far, sure the gunplay could do with some beefing up but the presentation is second to none. Everything just feels seamless, hoping from the open structured campaign to some competitive land grab multiplayer is just great. I'm already addicted to the main theme and theres lots of cool little visual twerks like when your Ghost (AI I think) does a radius scan of an area and how the environment, enemies react to your actions etc.

Gotta say I wasn't thinking too much of this prior and yes it does have that 'all too familiar' feel to Halo but thats a given obviously seeing as its the same devs. But on the whole its shaping up to be a terrific shooter, just hoping to put as much input as I can into the feedback so it can be made even better, ONLY AN ALPHA!

What's new/different about it? When Bungie first announced it after the end of halo, I was pretty interested; but then titanfall made me realise there was an always-online component and I kinda lost hope...

Previously I've seen the cgi renders, display of some powers and single player mission (showing 3rd person) now I've seen some multiplayer in 1st person from a players perspective plus the voice overs they've used and the game objectives it looks really dull hopefully it's not

Winner... Already got my beta key from Amazon, so might as well cancel that and order elsewhere.
Even if it ends up invalidating my beta access I'm not too fussed - I'm totally convinced by what I've played of the alpha so far, so wouldn't mind just coming to it fresh in September

I was expecting this game to be a halo copy and wasn't impressed when watching the gameplay videos. After playing the beta all I can say is wow, it's proved me wrong and you can see the level of thought they've put into this compared to COD or battlefield. It's a unique FPS, bungies still got it, don't feel so bad on missing out on halo now

Here are product spec. about Destiny from Tesco website, so Who is saying there is no beta from Tesco is wrong.

I must be the only one who doesn't like the alpha. It's not bad but nothing amazing.

I don't rate it. Frankly I don't see what all the fuss is about. It's yet another FPS game with some co-op and a bit of RPG tacked on.

Unless all you play is FPS games I really can't see anything to be excited about.

Agree with this. The game seems a bit dull to me. I don't think I'll be buying this on release, but I'll pick it up a some point for sure.

I've played the alpha and it is good. On that alone it's worth a play in the beta and then you can make your own mind up. It isn't perfect and some minor issues need addressing, but it's a relatively polished games for its first public outing.

Tempted to cancel my Amazon pre-order but I've been burned a few times by Tesco in the past.

Oh yes, of course, I forgot about that.

I'll stick with Amazon then.

Voted hot because its a great price but having played the alpha I don't think it's a game I'll be getting. just doesn't do it for me personally
