polygon gave it an underwhelming 6/10.

Still tempted though

Over hyped game, not sure why they wasted £350m creating this rubbish.

I sold the Vanguard DLC alone for £9.50 last week on eBay - and cex give you £35 cash for the game.

This game is so poor.. If u havnt played killzone get that!

Thought the price would be on offer soon only thing to judge for myself of what the game is lije

I'm really enjoying this game but can see why it's not for everyone. It's got a good framework in place that gives it the potential for an awesome game. I spent a lot of youthful years playing mmos so the concept of grinding levels and farming items is nothing new to me but I can see why it's a struggle for new players to grasp this concept.

Content is lacking but so do most mmos on their initial release but the seamless transition between public world to instance is very impressive.

Anyway I got a 21 Titan and a 20 warlock, if anyone is interested in strikes/ raids/ emblem farming l give me a pm. I'm on ps4

Started this yesterday and I must say I am not sure, like deasonmeals stated it feels a lot more MMO than I expected it to, happy to grind on the laptop. but a console for me is more pickup and play. I'll stick with it as its not terrible. but it will be like skyrim for me where I play on and off. the only thing bothering me with this is that other players will advice

Great game. Get it.

Game of the year so far, so much fun.

Great game, even re-playing through the first missions that were part of the BETA it isn't feeling tired.
Plenty of pick-up-and-play, as well as customisation and levelling up. Almost Halo meets Diablo, I find the public events a joyful distraction. I wish fire-teams could be a little larger, but these are well implemented as is the seamless multi-player world.
Looking forward to seeing where this franchise goes in the next few years.

I felt the opposite about beta, didn't enjoy it at all but it was probably due to the fact that I am putting time into a character that I don't get to keep. Almost put me off buying the game as the experience didn't feel rewarding but when playing the release with my own characters that all changed.

I dont have time for playing games these days but bought this as like this type and not have a decent game that stretch the PS4 yet.

Have to say I am really enjoying this . Am playing it a couple of hours every night. Wife isnt that happy but at least I'm not being grumpy apparently.

Worth the money at £30.

I would add though that I'm playing this on a 110 inch Projector screen with surround sound which would only help something are graphically pleasing as this.

What a set up!

Its an okay game due having pvp. Had it since launch and not been out of my white ps4 since. LVL 22 and still nice shooter. reminds unreal tournament ... add me on psn if wanna team up "WorldUK"

I'm enjoying it so far, I'm only a mere lvl 10 Titan.
Finding time to actually get quality playtime is hard atm.

this game is not poor at all. great game well worth the money.

Those two things don't quite correspond.

My wife doesn't even know I exist until it's dinner time. I feel guilty at times but then an emblem drops and I forget all about it :).

Had this game for a week or so. I like it.

My son (25) bought it yesterday. I see him online, I join his fireteam, I fly to his location on my space moped, fight my way into the building he's in and save his **** from a firefight that's gone pear-shaped.

Quality father son moment for the digital age

Well worth the £30 (after Tesco reductions) I paid for it.

Heat added.

My financial advisor has been telling me to invest in Vanguard products so here goes nothing!

Finally a good mate of mine bought it so will get to fire team up properly later tonight. Enjoying the game after a proper day's play on it on Sunday and reckon it will be better with friends.

Definitely. Fireteams are great fun.

Got this for the XBox One and I'm loving the game. Limitations aside, it has a great feel to the gameplay and offers the potential for limitless expansion and growth. Random events add incredible excitement whilst busy farming for goods and as for that punch, it just feels soooo good!

Perhaps in its current form it is far from everything that Bungie initially promised. But, given that it is an MMO, I think there is a precedant to say that it can and will become much more than it is right now.

I am playing on a 120" projector screen, which always helps, but it is the audio direction that has really blown me away, it is amongst the best of any FPS game ever produced. With a surround system, you feel completely immersed in the world. If nothing else, it is a very nice filler uintil the release of The Master Chief Collection.

Add me on PS4 if you guys want an additional fireteam member: RedsevenRuns

My husband drove me crazy when he played the alpha & beta. I was forever talking to the back of his head while he was completely distracted. Then I bought the white PS4 bundle and thought I'd try it out. Now we team up with our son and play together every night! The only problem is they keep getting exotics and legendary engrams while I'm not so lucky! It's a great game (but a bit repetitive)

I quite like the game would give it a 8/10

Enjoying this, normally I prefer straight up first person shooters - a trend that started with Wolfenstein. The weapon power stats, teamplay are new to me. First day it was released I was invited to several fire teams, didn't have PSN PLus so couldn't join, bought PSN Plus and now I'm Billy Nomates. I suspect the first invites were Sony PSN Plus sales guys....

Just got to level 20 hunter - it's fun but it'll probably be better in a team game mode.

You're right. I dont normally play games and most I do , I play for 5 mins and never come back to. This is the first one in a long time I've started to get into. The projector is more for watching movies on that games. I only hooked the Ps4 up to it at the weekend so I wasnt hogging the TV playing Destiny :-)

What's your psn id? Can join my fireteam when we have space if you want

Problem of them having a 5 year plan for it is that they can't do everything on the first release. I think you should look at the progression of Assasins Creed if you want proof that a first instalment that is a bit repetitive but has good mechanics, budget and a decent world can become something great.

It's the sort of game that the more you put in, the more you get out of it I think.

Certainly not for casual play, once you get beyond level 20 the game opens up.

Must admit the story is a bit vague, but I get the feeling it's supposed to be...

Bungie will keep adding to the with both free and paid DLC so it's a bit of an time investment.

I had this on 360 and didn't like it, then got hooked, then traded it in and now regretting trading it in...I'm a muppet.

Sold it.

Boring.
Repetitive.
Bland.
Overhyped.

playing with friends definitely helps, but as level 20 i am getting bored of the poor re use of maps, and constant hordes of enemies..

its still one of the better next gen games, and i do enjoy the multiplayer aspect

Awesome game poor reviews were put up day of release by people who played the game for two hours then slated it,its an evolving game the more you put into it the more you will get, with future online modes to be added future expansions and vehicles weapons etc it has potential to be huge

The gamespot review is spot on. Just a repetitive game with no real characters.

Borderlands is alot better, mainly due to the superb voice acting. Clap trap, handsome jack etc.

£350m over ten years.

It amazes me that people hate on this game so much yet they will happily play that Rocksteady Batman garbage and smash indentikit enemies in the face for hours at a time.
