I use this, but always wondered if it works. The conditioner drawer always seems to use cold water? But this says it needs min 20 degree temperatures to be effective?

Washing machines usually fill up by running cold water through the drawer picking up any powders/gels etc and into the drum where the water will be heated. This is why a 90 degree wash takes a lot longer than a 30 degree wash, the machine is essentially waiting for the water to heat up.

This is the only stuff that'll properly clean my cycling gear and stop it stinking from sweat.

Very good if you're in to sports, or are a sweaty stinky person... You know the ones!

even washing at 60°C, some harmful bacteria can survive on your clothes and spread to other items in your washing machine.

Why would you do the washing at 20 degrees and then need to use this ?

Surely just doing your washing at a higher temperature is better than using more chemicals ?

    Many reasons
Most important much softer on your cloths and the fabric, 60 can make the colours look washed out, can make the fabric looking and tired and also expensive on your electricity

Do you think that by using this product you could wash your towels at 40 degC instead of 60degC?

Used to use these. However normal disinfectant like Dettol usually have a laundry dilution if you read the instructions. Have saved a lot this way.
