lol here we go again, people will start banging on about hands free taps and what a waste of money, dont u just love these people

What is the point of having a no touch dispenser.....bearing in mind that when you touch a "normal" one, you wash your hands straigh after as its dispensed the soap/wash in your hands?

A vile product. I saw this coupon when I posted the coupons for the wipes and spray for 50p, but thought it would not be of interest to anyone as theyre rubbish!

Because if you have oil on your hands it'll still be on the top of the tap until next time if you touched it before you washed!

Have to agree... Even in theatres we have hands free taps... But the soap/iodine is a normal press to dispense bottle. Utterly pointless to have no touch soap!!
Taps on the other hand...

How do the refills work? Are they expensive or can you use any liquid soap?

Having OCD I quite like the idea behind this product but the theory is better than the reality.

While the machine looks nice and works well there are two main problems with it:
The first is that it dispenses a large amount of soap with each use and this can't be modified; which ties in slightly with the second problem which is that the soap refills are very expensive and don't last very long. Two weeks is the longest one's lastest so far.

The soap itself smells very nice and is gentle on your hands. The batteries seem to last about a month with constant use.

It's a good product if you can afford the soap refills but their cost is slightly prohibative otherwise.

I love these things, I now have 3, need another one but won't pay more than a fiver (on principal as this is what I have always paid previously)

I too was NOT impressed at the high cost of refills. I get really annoyed with manufacturers that make their products 'un-openable'. But not to be outdone, and after many attempts to get into the empty container, I hit upon the idea of standing it in boiling water for a few seconds which slightly softens the plastic and makes it easy peasy to get the lid off. I just fill up with my favourite handwash *thumbs nose at Dettol* hahaha

A shame really, because it's actually really, really good quality hand wash with the dispenser and batteries for essentially nothing, I don't fear the germs, I just like the cucumber, and the green tea and ginger handwash, lovely stuff.

Voucher says 31/03/12

These are great, yeah we all know the no germ thing is a load of rubbish but my little ones always struggled with the hand press ones, with these they can goto the toilet and clean themseleves stress free and i know they always have proper soap on there hands, and yeah with a screw driver and a little force you can remove the bottom and refill with any soap product of your choice.

how much are refills and any other shops doing the system for similar price?

This will go nicely in my kitchen along with my chocolate teapot.

You need two hands to operate the normal dispenser, one to push the plunger down and the other hand to catch the soap, this you can do with one hand.

Well seeing as you are going to be engaging the other hand in the activity of washing I would say the likelihood of you only having one hand free isn't very high. It's a gadget created for a problem that doesn't exist.

Good shout Doc . I thought the voucher expired a while back but will nip into asda & pick another one up now. Heat added.

£4.99 at Superdrug, been that price for months.

Thank you, I will get one tomorrow.

Well that's a load off my mind, think of all the other things I can do with my non dispenser dedicated hand.

I can just imagine that sex with people who buy this, must be fantastic oO

Yeah......like a muppet,I want out and bought one with a voucher a few weeks back !!!! I quickly realised how pointless in was and just another example of someone inventing something that's not needed, and marketing it well.....

Yes I have done so many times

Heat

I refill mine through a small hole I drilled in the top of the soap container then plugging the hole with a rubber bung (from an ink cart refill kit.)
Works well and no struggling with trying to remove the lid.
Yeah, up yours Dettol.

i just prized the lid off the bottle with a screwdriver and refill using palmolive, radox etc

X) ...just PMSL ...thats all

can u guys get a life - its whether or not its the best deal in uk for this product - preference is a matter for the individual

These are great you can refill the bottle with any thing you want just immerse the lid in boiling water for a few seconds and then it just twists of easy refill then click the lid back on

never mind this as hands free what about the door handle thats covered with wee from previous less hygenic person that you touch on your way out.
I think a decontaminating chamber as you leave is the only option, or we will all face certain death.

Thanks

Got three of these and now family have seen them they want them too!

Off to asda in the morn.

Got this for free.
picked up the last One in my Asda and it scanned at £2. 50 the checkout girl scanned the voucher which knocked out £3. 00 she said this can't be right at called someone who said just void and enter a £2. 50 discount manually.

I didn't buy official refills just refilled the first original bottle. Drove me so crazy that I threw it away after a few months as the thing used to squirt by itself all the time and I'd set it off every time I went in the bathroom.

Yup sister had the same problem, not good in small bathrooms.

If I buy this do I have to pick it up... with my... my.... hands to take it home? Oh my, I feel a little faint at the idea. Hands. Disgusting things, it's like having five filthy penises wriggling at the bottom of my arms. Six sometimes if I'm carried away by the midnight urges. I couldn't even use the internet until somebody built me a keyboard that squirts out hot bleach from every key. I think I'm going to leave it until they build one where you don't have to touch the soap, either. Soap. Urhhh, dirty devil's phlegm more like.

Got 2 of these, they are ace.
just use a screwdriver to pop off the lid and refill with whichever soaps are on offer when you go shopping. Bargain!!
