Be easy on me, this is my first post. I know alot of people don't like these, but don't like, don't buy it, simple. Just thought I would post.
I bought one of these from Sainsburys, when the deal was last posted, it's brilliant!
Great to get kids to wash their hands.

google "The Stylo stylus for the iPad"

yea where is the voucher avaliable? most stores 9.99 but i got this free a while back from tesco when tesco were doing them for half price £4.99 and i had a dettol handwash system voucher for £5 off.
Don't forget to turn the tap on with your elbow. Wouldn't want to touch a dirty tap now.
Who would have believed a soap dispenser deal could be more contentious than a benefits thread in Misc.............(_;)

If you don't like the product don't buy it. Simple

Its pat pending but should be hitting the shops soon
It dispenses way too much soap!!!!
Its a good price

Normally I would only ever vote on wether an item was a 'bargain'
However this is an item that feeds on the fears of the great unwashed, If I could vote it to absolute zero so that it disappears I would!

A cold vote from me
We have both views in our house - wife thinks its a gimmick but the kids love it......

Although she had to (very grudgingly) admit that it was useful when they had been baking and their hands were covered in cake mix.

Do dettol do no touch taps? No touch hand dryers for the home?

This is only good for public loo's imo.

Prising the lid of with a knife is quite easy. Ive done it and refilled it 3 times up to now. Beats paying for the original which is costly.

Agreed, I voted hot because It's a good deal, if people want to waste their money on a completely pointless product then fair be it, at least it will be less money they waste
whats wrong with soap? less packaging, plastic, batteries etc. not very eco friendly imo
Get the soap without touching...then touch the dirty tap, followed by the dirty hand towel.

Wonderful.
Might use this as a lube dispenser

More importantly you touch the dirty soap dispenser, then wash. Your. Hands...
Just a thought, does this perhaps take a special soap-pack that only Dettol sell? You know, the kind of thing that would make it worthwhile selling a special dispenser for?

Dirty hand towel?!? Speak for yourself, mine is clean.
Although you comment about the tap is true, it might be dirty in public places and you might be forced to touch it when you finished washing.
Ive had both a soap and a pump hand wash next to the basin for years. I always used the soap as I cant be bothered with the pump. But since ive purchased one of these, I have used it mostly and the soap not so often.

It dispenses the right amount and I think they are great.

About the whole germs issue, many have a point. Many also have lever taps. You can lift the 'dirty' lever and use the product and push down the lever with ur elbow if you are that concerned.

Hot deal, even if its just for the refill (They cost £3 on their own) lol.

:P

This product obviously goes hand in hand with the Dettol Hand Gel. So you wash your hands using this, and then use the hand gel which is self drying for the ultimate cleanliness.

HAHAHA, true that!
Am I the only one who washes the tap with handwash too?

wondering if i could easily swap the soap with Durex lube....oO
Cant use internet coupon they will not accept it they say its company policy now
I tried on last Sat to use the 50p Coupon on Dettol anti-bacterial spray was refused straight away
Have a go you might be lucky
Oh brother, not this thread AGAIN! Same old comments about this being useless - whats useless are some of these comments! I you don't like it don't buy it, but dont knock it till you've tried it.

Works great for kids to encourage hand washing who cant push a soap dispenser down or manage to hold a bar of soap without digging their nails into it, then they put it down after having dirty hands and transfers a nice pool of dirty water underneath it. That also goes for encouraging big kids to wash too, as there are loads of blokes - you know who you are - who cant seem to operate a soap bar either, so at least they just magically wave their mitts under this gadget and hey presto.
At £1.98 (dispenser, 2x AA batteries and quality hand soap soap), is it really worth the huffing and puffing each time this gets posted about how useless it is - its an automatic soap dispenser, but I'm guessing some of you dont understand those benefits?
I've got one of these. I think they're superb.

The ketchup bottle (loads on ebay) refill method looks superb though I haven't tried it (I used brute force)

We have them and their great. dispenses the right amount and no messy soap on the basin. burnt a hole in the top and use the remnants of the shampoo and conditioners bottles to fill it up ( i especially like the coconut flavored ones). haven't had to change batteries yet in 6 months.
